I been to like 6 gas stations and now in this long line at this one out Prosperity and MC praying that they don’t run out before I get to the pump

Well I had to get gas.

like my car been in the dealership shop for the last 2 weeks I stopped by yesterday to check on it and they made it seem like they was finna keep it till the end of the week. So I gassed up this morning. It was a GLA 250 and I filled it up

Then mid day I get a text saying “your car is ready” and like like WTF???

So I get off fairly early today to turn the loaner in and get my car. But I had lad than half in the tank.

I work in Mooresville so I need to gas up.


Man I went to like 15 gas stations till I found one

Nicca..... cats was out here being so extra..... having like 3-6 containers and filling them with gas.

Nicca 6!!! No cap.... it was some Mexican in this pick up holding up the line and this nicca with dred pulled that thang out

Welp, it looks like I won't even make it to 2 years in Charlotte. This gas outage was the last straw for me.

Now that I'm not working, I don't see the point of me being here.

1. This never felt like home.

2. It's a republican controlled state.

3. Was in a pandemic for most of my time here.

4. Which caused me to have to work.... way more than I should have.

5. The people can't drive

6. Cost of living going up

7. Too many transplants

8. Low energy

9. A lot of people I know is trying to leave

10. After living in San Diego, Los Angeles, Newark, Brooklyn, Richmond, VA and Albuquerque, NM, Charlotte ranks second to last behind Petersburg, VA (which doesn't really count because even though I lived there, I was never home).



I'm going back to Jersey next month where things make more sense to me. I'm going to grow my business and eventually move back to the west coast in a few years if not some place in he Caribbean.

^ Will be 3 years for me in October & I feel most of those pain points above. Could just be me not finding the right spots/people. Really wanted to get out and explore more in 2020 but COVID came through and shut it down. Came back home & thought I missed the city but think it was just my pre-Covid lifestyle & my roster. Currently not tied to a lease and may look into other cities/jobs since the best we will do is a hybrid model.

2015...it's cool....it is a city you can make whatever you want... In terms of lifestyle.
