What about Highland Creek and Mint Hill?

I live in highland creek. I love it. My son goes to highland creek elementary school. His principal is black. The school is diverse.

The area is very diverse, integrated, and nice. Houses are nice. There are several pools, they have golf, tennis, always have events on the weekend, playgrounds for kids.

A few of my neighbors are black. People are friendly. Behind my house is a pretty golf course. And concord mills mall is like 5 minutes away. Northlake is close. University city is close. Huntersville is close. I think it’s such a great desirable location for families.

Cookout Gang, I love y'all!!!

That’s the vibe I was getting from the neighborhood. Just wanted to hear it from someone who is actually there.

I have another question. When the family and I were out at Camp North End. I was kind of surprised to black/whites just chilling in the same space like that. Is that normal in CLT or is it just toleration between the two?

I feel like it’s normal. It was a strange sight to see, coming from up North, but I feel like Charlotte is a pretty integrated city. Hell, I was at an all black barbershop with my son, and a few white guys came in to get their hair cut. Not that it means anything, but I feel like the races generally get along here. I see a ton of ir relationships too. Bm with ww, and bw with wm. It’s one of the interesting things that I didn’t expect when I moved down here.

Ivory white and Offwhite

HC is a rich area

Mint hill sure, but highland creek is very diverse. At my son’s school it’s like 39% black, 41%white, and then you have other races in the mix too. His principle is a black man from philly and he acts like it. A lot of the teachers are brown, and black too. You see the white and black kids walking to the basketball court together to play a game. Like I said 4 of my neighbors in my subdivision are black. When I used to go to the gym at the clubhouse always saw plenty of blacks there too. don’t sleep on highland creek Bryan.

Camp North End is in a Black area that is gentrifying, so it will eventually be :mjpls:

Yep, Highland Creek area is pretty much half & half.

University area / NE Charlotte is where you'll find a large number of middle class black folks.

Yeah, I had rode through Plaza Eastway to look at a home that was for sale. The area reminded me of a suburb in Detroit. I like it, though. Saw a few older gentlemen tending to their yards and little brehs bouncing basketballs.

I’m really gonna curse my boy off that’s a wrestler. But knowing him, he probably gonna be doing something with the show, he’s cool with a lot of the guys on the roster, specifically Scorpio and Cody
