I remember when there were talks of PBC tryna do their own thing which would almost remove them from having to answer to any of the sanctions.

The WBA has been around for over 100 years.

They aren't going anywhere anytime soon.

thats the thing. There is no prestige in MMA so UFC can become the defect face of the sport. Boxing in particular WBC and WBA belts have an actual prestige and history tied to World history thus being a champ puts you in an actual fraternity of sorts. If prestige doesn't matter then folks would be like fukk the olympics for example. The assumption is the "Ring" belt's prestige will be used, but the counter argument is the Ring Belt means nothing if you didn't capture the individual belts to "become the man"
