Trout/Canelo is a true 50/50 but I'm leaning toward Canelo taking it in a lil barn burner of a scrap.

Trout out-boxed and out-fought Cotto and really dominated dude, but Cotto still made most of the rounds competitive and still put hands on Trout especially that left hook. Cotto's face after the fight told the story. It's obvious Cotto ain't bout that jr middleweight life but Arum and Floyd kinda gassed him up for it though.
Arum promised him a title shot against Foreman after the Manny destruction. Cotto went through with it and milked that shyt with easy defenses. Then Floyd comes along and tells the whole world how much better Cotto is at 154 even though facts is facts and that nikka ain't beat the same caliber of fighters at 154 that he did at 147. Cotto along with 80% of boxing fans fell for that shyt and people look at him against Floyd as a true 154lber when he never really was. It was really just a fight between two natural welters that happened to be at 154.

Cotto stuck in a bad place now. He prolly can drop to 150 or less, but he gotta keep this whole 154lb myth going. Cotto would prolly clean shop at 147, imagine Cotto vs Berto/Ortiz/Paulie rematch/ Alexander etc..instead he gotta choose guys like Kirkland, Lara, Trout, Canelo, Angulo, Molina, Smith, dudes who would prolly push his shyt in. His bed been made and now he gotta sleep in that bytch.

SWW you can... which is the title Cotto had.... I was incorrect when I said Pac wanted Cotto to fight for his belt for the wbo belt.. it was for Cottos belt... Then again they coulda just made it a non title bout but Cotto wanted no parts

why fight at a cw if you beat him already

He asked Cotto to fight at 150 for a 147 title.. How dare he..... when months before, Cotto said he could fight at 150 and Cotto backtracked(ducked)

Not only that Cotto bytch ass tried to force Margarito to drain to 150 in his prior match, a fight where both sides settled to a 153 catchweight:obama:

The problem with Cotto is he is too big for 147, but too small to compete in 154.

from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
why fight at a cw if you beat him already

Why fight Cotto at a weight you physically cant make, when Cotto said he could make 150??.. Pac never fought higher than 145 at the time but was willing to fight a five lbs heavier Cotto... Why act like in this instance a catchweight is unreasonable even when Cotto is still at a weight advantageand aalready said he could make that particular weight??

Yea he beat him the already, but we also gotta remember his options at the time were real thin... Cotto was coming off a big win vs Margerito...

Trout is not an elite fighter.

Get the fukk out of here with that shyt. Boxing is a contact sport and you're going to get tag. So Cotto's brother hit him with a clean shot and you think he was almost knocked out? :pachaha:

Cotto's brother almost knocked him out, but one of the strongest fighters in this era in Mosley could not even hurt Canelo? Yeah, keep believing that Cotto's brother almost knocked him out.

we'll see

U.S. boxing fans will be able to witness the premiere of world championship boxing in Macau with Zou Shiming: Fists of Gold, featuring two world title fights and the professional debut of the Peoples Republic of China’s two-time Olympic Gold Medalist and three-time World Amateur Champion Zou Shiming. This brilliant event will be televised to the U.S. on Saturday, April 6, beginning at 2:00 p.m. ET/PT on HBO2. Calling the action from ringside from the CotaiArena, The Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel will be broadcasting icons Tim Ryan and Larry Merchant and two-time heavyweight champion Big George Foreman.

The telecast will also feature two-time WBO junior lightweight champion Roman “Rocky” Martinez defending his title against undefeated #1 contender Diego Magdaleno and WBA/WBO flyweight champion Brian “hawaiian Punch” Viloria defending his unified titles against Top-10- contender Juan Francisco Estrada.

“We are delighted that HBO recognizes as we do the historic nature of the Macau event and is making it available on a same-day basis to its subscribers on HBO 2,” said Hall of Fame promoter Bob Arum.
