Coming to terms that every time Floyd fights the opponent has that much of a better chance to win.

Canelo definitely would've made 5/4 much more of an event, but it's gonna be an event anyway, so why not.

What's funny is people are calling Trout some big super-welter but he's only 5'10 (relatively speaking) as opposed to people talking about him like he's 6'2 and was much much bigger than Cotto, we all kinda overestimated Cotto's size in the big picture. Canelo is 5'9 so the difference isn't going to be that much in case people think Trout is some giant.

The only two things Alvarez has over Cotto is youth and he's a natural 154 pounder...From a technique and skill set standpoint it's really not close, Cotto is a far more complete boxer...Trout flat out outboxed Cotto so I have no doubt he'll be able to do the same to Canelo and I fully expect a robbery on 5/20...That's the only reason i'm not betting big on Trout...I don't trust GB...

I think it was the Collazo fight that Berto had alot of problems in and since then it seems like hes he just been stuck at that level and not kicked on like he should have. Come the Ortiz fight what he got away with Collazo he didnt in that one .

that collazo fight is the peak of berto. i actually edged it to him that fight. but overall, i had no idea he had been with his trainer 20 years and now he wants to dump him. personally i don't think it will make all that much of a difference who ever he picks as his new trainer.

he has never improved on his footwork, and even after working with conte his stamina has always been shyt as well. Berto IS who "HE IS, and exciting fighter with a beautiful combination of speed and power who fights in spurts.

you got a new screen name huh? You wake Pacq up yet?

In other words, you can't think of a good reason so you bring up Pacquiao. Meanwhile Fiddy was on espn calling that coward hero of yours a ducker and cherrypicker.

A flowmo that ran out of logical reasons other than a bring up PAC ko? F@& shyt.

I'd like to propose to you that berto stamina may not be the problem but him not knowing how to defend and always punching is. If dude could learn how to defend without this fake ass "philly shell" defense he is trying to adapt and learn how to move he'd be a lot better. His awkward stances tho :snoop:

But I thought 154 was Cottos best weight

I don't think he outboxed Cotto. Those middle rounds were a clinic in perfect boxing by Cotto, it should be viewed multiple times on how to outbox a bigger man. But the style and physical advantages + the fact Cotto had never faced a true 154 before left his stamina lacking, so he slowed down dramatically.

Think people are giving Trout a little too much credit.
