Ever since that segment on HBO with Danny scoping out Chris Algieri while he made him dinner, he been suspect to me. He seemed genuinely disappointed when his wife made a surprise visit:pachaha:

what started it is when @Newzz noticed he kept talking how he could wait to taste some of peter quillen chocolate.:patrice:

Wlad seems like a terrible trainer.
Yeah you got him hurt real bad there, don't finish him, sit back jab him and wait til he gets his legs back, then jump in and tie him up. Yeah we getting a 12 round UD.

Trainer and fighter are two completely different roles, and his inability to finish Joshua has nothing to do with how we be in a trainer role.

I forget which trainer said this, but great fighters don't do into a career as a trainer unless they are broke. Wlad is straight as far as money goes. The only scenario where I could ever see Wlad as a trainer is if he takes an interest in a certain fighter and decides to help out in a secondary role. Roy Jones did some work with Jean Pascal because its something he wanted to do, but you will never see Roy have a stable of fighters.

I don't know anything about that, but Algieri's diet got Danny in the shape of his life and he's feeling himself. Despite the outcome, the fact that he had a debatable with GGG has his confidence on another level.

Does anyone know who Danny's conditioner was for the GGG fight?

You just said Jonathan Banks was passing down Manny's legacy, when Manny would have been in Wlad's face telling him he had to get Joshua out of there last week. Banks didn't get on him about getting him out of there. Yes his style that has led him to win over 90% of his fights would be terrible! Especially someone as fundamentally sound as Wlad.

Based on how Wlad looked, it's obvious they had a great camp. I really think Banks did everything he could to give Wlad the best chance to win as far as preparation.

Now during the fight, here's the problem.

Banks is only 34 years old
Wladimir is 41 years old

Wlad was a pro damn near 8 years before Banks became a pro. Banks was chosen on familiarity and trust, but I don't think he's comfortable barking on that nygga.Do you really need to bark on someone that has been around as long as Wlad? At the point its about motivation, and he was clearly motivated that night. He just feel short.

Canelo: A lot of You Said Golovkin Fight Would Never Be Made!

Christmas will come early this year as unified middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez will step into the ring.

The fight everyone has been waiting for was announced Saturday, with unbeaten Golovkin and Mexican two-weight world champion Canelo to go head-to-head on September 16.

Canelo confirmed the blockbuster middleweight showdown following his unanimous victory over fellow Mexican Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in Las Vegas as he improved to 49-1-1.

Now he wants to prove the doubters wrong, the critics who said he was running from the Golovkin fight. The bout will give Canelo the opportunity to win four middleweight titles, as Golovkin is the IBF, IBO, WBC, WBA world champion - although earlier this week Canelo said that he would not fight for the WBC belt due to an ongoing dispute with the sanctioning body.

"In September, they will see the greatest fight," Canelo said. "The era of Canelo is the best because I fought the best. A lot of you said this fight would never be made.

Golovkin – a notable onlooker during the fight against Chavez – stepped into the ring in a scene similar to WWE following Canelo's convincing win as the pair stood toe-to-toe, much to the delight of the crowd.

"I'm very excited… we're ready," Golovkin said, surrounded by his entourage.

Golovkin boasts a flawless 37-0 record following his points decision against Daniel Jacobs in March.

As Golovkin prepared to leave the ring, he said: "Good luck in September," to which Canelo replied: "Luck is for mediocre people".

Canelo's promoter, Oscar De La Hoya of Golden Boy Promotions, expects a very exciting fight.

"Canelo Alvarez is willing to face all comers. He is willing to be great. Like I've always said, Canelo has always wanted this fight. He always wanted the fight with Triple G and we've always said it would happen this year in September," De La Hoya said.

I've been saying this. Some (a big part) of boxing fans just keep falling for the same shyt. It was obvious that they gonna make it they just milked it. I don't like milking but it is what it is, business. Many boxing fans seemingly can't proceed this information either cause they are dumb or just too emotional and they really convince themselves that x gonna avoid y forever when it's obvious that the fight gonna happen.

We heard cries about Ward avoiding Kovalev, Canelo and Jacobs avoiding Golovkin and Mayweather avoiding Pac. ALL of these fights got made. All of them.
While ironically where real ducking happened the outcry doesn't seem to be so big. For example how many times you hear these dudes slandering Frampton and Quigg cause they blatantly ducked Rigo in 122 then moving up to 126 and never looking back...? :jbhmm:

Real duckings happen but the public rather seem to be busy with slandering fighters who actually sign up to fight these so called boogiemen...
