Top a top on top of the top
I see the Rigo/Donaire situation is starting to rise to Ward/Bute levels.

Rigo has the goods, but dude hasn't beaten anybody of note yet. He just been fighting scrubs on ppv undercards and was even stunned/rattled a couple times in his last fight. I don't see it as a duck move from Donaire yet. Rigo needs to at least beat one common opponent or someone with a name. He can fight Arce or Leo Santa Cruz. Just somebody that we've heard of. Nobody knows if he's really ready for Donaire.

We all saw what happened to Bute when he finally fought somebody who was a top 3 guy in his division. I'm not saying that's gonna happen to Rigo but you never know. If Donaire leaves the division without fighting the Mares/Moreno winner than yeah that's a duck but Rigo for as good as he is hasn't done enough yet to say somebody is ducking him.

Say what you want about Nishioka but he at least beat a past it Marquez and he did get off the canvas to soul clap Johnny Gonzales into orbit so I had no problem with him getting the Donaire fight.

Rigo has an unbelievable amateur background. Bute's amateur background was basically him getting KO'd by GGG, followed by his professional career of being fed "opponents" in his hometown. I don't think you can compare those two. Also, I wouldn't classify Teon Kennedy is a scrub. I'm not sure if he is ready for Donaire, but it probably would be a good scrap.

We talking about professional boxing breh. fukk all that amateur shyt.

It is the same situation really just different weight classes.

Bute/Rigo- two southpaw champs making their names by fighting scrubs and fringe contenders (Teon Kennedy) while Donaire and Ward fought guys with belts and recognition.

Instead of fighting a top 5 level dude first they wanna jump all the way to the top and face the #1 guy and act like they being ducked.

Besides if Rigo beats another quality opponent that only makes a fight with Donaire bigger. I don't see why cats have a problem with that. At least we get to see if Rigo is the real deal at a professional level. Everybody thought Bute was ready for Ward but he couldn't get past a guy who already lost to Ward and Kessler.

Don't get me wrong, I'd like to see a Rigo/Donaire fight too but to act like Rigo is being ducked is crazy. Rigo has a belt. Why don't he go after other names and beat them. At least Bute selling tickets in his hometown. Rigo just a spot holder on ppv cards. If Donaire were to beat Rigo now it'll be like Trinidad beating David Reid.

That Montiel fight was a bullshyt one? :usure:

Of course not, one of if not his most impressive victory.

...but who was he fighting inbetween Montiel and Vic? What about after Montiel?

A lot of bullshytting for a supposed top 5 p4p guy (fukk you Kellerman :scusthov: )

:whoa:

I'm just responding to the quote that said he has been bullshytting since Vic which was bullshyt imo because Montiel>>>Vic.

And to those saying he is not a top 5 p4p guy you better not have Pacman in that top 5. :mjpls:

thats a good month indeed...adamek-cunningham 2 will be entertaining but i have feelin cunningham gets stopped this time around...the move to heavy was too little too late in my opinion and he's showing signs of decline in punch resistance
