He lives to fight another day for his family he couldn't defend himself and was looking to the ref, thats when people get seriously hurt, in boxing you never know and it only takes one wrong punch. He wasn't a loser it's was 2 winners that night his stock has rose tremendously and he could make big money of a rematch or other fights, the ref saved the mans life and possibly career

I really don't mind the stoppage. Alvarado was getting hit with like 4 or 5 straight flush bombs from a heavy handed dude in Rios. Mike never took a knee or try to hold. I thought he was done but it might be possible that he could of fought out of it. It's just that to me wasn't showing the signs that he was going to. Dude wasn't even moving his head or trying to evade so I think is senses were scrambled.

Good fight regardless though. Alvarado needed to be first in order to beat Rios and push him backwards. Whenever he did that he was winning. As soon as he started to let Rios lead and stay inside too long he started getting wrecked.

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
wait.. who has Rigo beat again??

Now Mereno and Mares are fighting each other.. I think Nito should fight the winner.. If he don't :manny: dont make him overrated though

The guy just beat Nishioka in a one sided fight, who been undefeated for 8 years

Have you seen Rigondeaux fight? There's a reason Donaire gets a little iffy when his name comes up.

Man shut ya bytch ass up.... Bottom line is you nor @Malta can answer my question of who Rigo has fought.. And yes I've seen him fight and he is good.. But hes only fought 11 times. Nito is on his way to becoming a household name while no one knows who the fukk Rigo is except for boxing heads... Now what makes you think they would try to sale a fight like that at this point in time??

IBF OKs Geale vs. Mundine

Gary Shaw Productions has been granted an “Exception to Regulations” by the IBF on behalf of unified IBF/WBA middleweight champion, Daniel “Real Deal” Geale (28-1, 15 KOs), to participate in an optional IBF world title fight against Anthony Mundine (44-4, 26 KOs) prior to his mandatory defense.

“Now that we got the green light from the IBF to make this fight, I’m going to work hard to get everything completed,” said promoter Gary Shaw. “This might be the biggest fight in Australian boxing history as both fighters consider this a grudge match.”

Geale tasted defeat for the first and only time when these two fighters faced each other back in May of 2009. Geale lost a controversial split decision and he’s looking to set the record straight once and for all.

“When Mundine and I first fought, I thought my hands were going to be raised after the fight,” said Daniel Geale. “It was close but I thought I was the better man that night. I’ve always wanted revenge against Anthony, and now I have the opportunity thanks to my promotional teams Grange Old School Boxing and Gary Shaw Productions.”
:ehh:

Adamek will not fight Solis on December 22

The old saying in boxing that nothing is done until both fighters are in the ring, proved to be true yet again – Odlanier Solis (18-1, 12 KO) will NOT be fighting Tomasz Adamek (47-2, 29 KO) in the main event of highly anticipated NBC event on December 22 in Bethelhem, Pennsylvania. Technically, Solis was never “in” for Adamek, because contracts between parties was never signed, but it was expected that this fight would happen as projected. In the next couple of days we should know who will be stepping in front of Adamek on December 22.

I see the Rigo/Donaire situation is starting to rise to Ward/Bute levels.

Rigo has the goods, but dude hasn't beaten anybody of note yet. He just been fighting scrubs on ppv undercards and was even stunned/rattled a couple times in his last fight. I don't see it as a duck move from Donaire yet. Rigo needs to at least beat one common opponent or someone with a name. He can fight Arce or Leo Santa Cruz. Just somebody that we've heard of. Nobody knows if he's really ready for Donaire.

We all saw what happened to Bute when he finally fought somebody who was a top 3 guy in his division. I'm not saying that's gonna happen to Rigo but you never know. If Donaire leaves the division without fighting the Mares/Moreno winner than yeah that's a duck but Rigo for as good as he is hasn't done enough yet to say somebody is ducking him.

Say what you want about Nishioka but he at least beat a past it Marquez and he did get off the canvas to soul clap Johnny Gonzales into orbit so I had no problem with him getting the Donaire fight.

about the rios/alvarado stoppage, i agreed with it as Alvarado looked near gone and could have been knocked down and out? But the ref may have saw something with Mike before the last few punches..
