Rios needs to make an impression from the last gift decision he got.

Nonito has the tools and talent for bigger things..do not bring out danny inosanto or reference bruce lee this time..just go in there and fight!!!

i can't see that happening lukie. this is a telephone booth fight, let alone i don't think he has the skill to outbox rios even if he tried to. it's a pick em fight, i been doubting rios last 2 shyt performances becuase of cutting weight, he should be more comfortable at 140.

what the word on your boy donaire, there was rumor of his possible moving up to 126 after this fight. im really expecting donaire to have a helluva performance this saturday. alot of people think he's not worthy of the p4p talk because of his last few performances since the mares fight.

I have a really weird feeling Mile High Mike is going to try to something weird. I hope for my sake it is a phone booth fight since I am driving 350 miles just to see the fight.

No word on Donaire, I really hope the Riggy fight happens , this fight seems like the type of fight he should excel in. He has been very tight lipped in San Carlos.

Yeah right :smugdraper:

Alvarado has a punchers chance for sure, but dude can't box for shyt

I hope Donaire loses, I'll leave it at that...for now...

Agreed, but as I said above I have been hearing funny things about Mike's training camp

my early prediction for the doubleheader

nonito flattens nishioka by 4 or 5
rios stops alvarado by 9 or 10

ill prolly analyzed it more once i get information on any pre weigh in reports and the actual weigh in itself (really in the case for rios-alvarado)

Alvarado is a one handed fighter. without a strong jab or hook Rios is going to walk through him. I see Rios stopping him mid to late rounds, should be a good pace as i believe its only a 10 rounder.

Nikiosha is very technical, hell try to be on the outside of Donaire's front foot all night landing the straight left. could turn into a boring fight if Donaire sits back to counter punch. Ima go with the upset as Donaire hasnt impressed me as of late.

I think Garcia is a good trainer. Its not really his fault that Donaire hasn't been looking all that spectacular lately. Dude fights too anxious for the KO so his opponents brace for it and try to negate it because they know it's coming. If he boxed more patiently and broke dudes down he'd prolly get stoppages.

With that said, Nonito is going to brutalize Nishioka and get a mid round stoppage. Nishioka doesn't move his head at all and can't really fight backwards so he'll be open for some heavy shyt.

Cats are underrating Alvarado though. Dude isn't as skilled as Rios but he's the bigger stronger fighter and if you try to fight his fight (which I believe Rios will do) he can overwhelm you. Prescott was giving Mike the business until he got dragged into that dog fight where he got tired and eventually stopped.

I think Alvarado will win a close decision.

AMIR KHAN STANDS UP AGAINST ARMED GANG – BOXING NEWS
By LAUREN VEEVERS and GUY PATRICK
Published: 09th October 2012

AN armed gang of yobs took a pounding when they tried to steal boxer Amir Khan’s £100,000 Range Rover. The former world champ and his boxing brother Haroon, 20, were ambushed early yesterday morning as they returned to the flash motor after a night out. At least six men used a 4x4 to block the 25-year-old light welterweight’s path — but despite being heavily outnumbered, the pair fought back and landed a flurry of blows. An onlooker said: “These guys tried to jump Amir and his brother but they picked on the wrong blokes.

“They parked their car in front of the Range Rover. At least one had a cosh. One slapped Amir and clipped him on the lip but Amir pulled back and knocked him out cold. Then five of them went for Amir and Haroon — but they stood their ground and these guys got dropped one by one. They left these men with cuts and bruises but all they were doing was defending their property.”

Flash ... motor like Amir's Minutes later the boxers — in Birmingham after travelling down from Bolton for a gig — fled and one thug smashed the car’s rear window.
Police last night confirmed they were called out after reports of a fight. But a spokesman added: “Nobody came forward.”
