who's really surprised that the pac-algieri numbers are low arum just being greedy with pac. he was already getting alot of fukking money upfront from the venetian for having the fight there in the first place.

when de la hoya was hotter than fish grease selling ppv, arum had him on regular hbo against guys like gatti, and coley. i really don't see anything wrong or bad about pac having a fight on hbo with a not big name or unknown opponent.

Even Oscar fought Steve Forbes on HBO, which was one of his last fights & he still the biggest draw. They had the awareness that you can't put tuneups on PPV. Tired of these guy acting as they are above fighting on regular HBO. Not every fight is gonna be a mega fight, I dont care how strong the A side is.

Had to dap/rep/ the foolishness of SHO/HBO not having their biggest draws on regular cable is laughable. How many people would have watched Manny/Algieri on HBO? 3 milli? How many people would have watched Floyd/Maidana on Showtime? Those would have attracted TONS of viewers.

i think showtime is in a different situation though than hbo. i think hbo can afford to have pac on regular hbo without taking a hit. showtime really don't have a choice but to put floyd on ppv cause of that big ass contract they gave him. showtime aint paying floyd 30+ million a fight to be on regular tv they want that motherfukka to sell some ppv's.

we know all of tysons fights weren't on showtime ppv either but he didn't get no where near the money floyd got. tyson got 8 million against lou savarese and 10 million to fight frans botha and orlin norris's of the world on regular showtime. showtime is just fukked at the moment
