they have history :youngsabo:
:ohhh:

I have been on here stating I need to take another look at the Charlo's since they seem to be fulfilling their hype and not producing the struggle fights when the first were put on TV. As of now I would put Jacobs as a slight favorite over Charlo. Jacobs has been far more consistent and faced much better opposition, whereas Charlo is just getting hot right now and a lot of it is due to his trash talk, not putting in the same level of work as Jacobs. Jacobs will be bigger and the harder puncher, his chin isn't as poor as it was made out to be pre-GGG and he is a pretty good boxer himself.

My history with Jacobs is that he was my third favorite boxer at MW behind GGG and Quillin. GGG is still my favorite, but Quillin has disappeared and the more I saw his personality (and Jacobs beat him up), Jacobs is my second favorite fighter at MW...and that all happened pre-taking the GGG fight. Jacobs seems like a good dude and I like that his kid seems like a daddy's boy, comes across as a little goofy/nerdy. Tells me Jacobs is raising his son right and is a good father.

We may disagree who won the GGG fight, but I would take Jacobs vs. anyone not named GGG at MW currently. I thought GGG beat Canelo in a close fight and that was with GGG's style playing perfectly into Canelo's style. Jacobs style is not nearly as good of a matchup for Canelo and I think Jacobs would beat him (assuming he doesn't get the Canelo/GB scorecards as well). Lemieux and BJS are on a level below the top guys and Jacobs would beat both of them.

:manny:

Edit: And fukk anyone who has a problem with Jacobs rehydrating. He still makes weight, as long as he does so legally, he has the same advantage that any other fighter has. He was rumored to be struggling to make 160 and considering moving up to 168, well it looks like Algieri has helped him get in the best shape of his career. Funny that Arias was comlaining about that because he was the 168 lb fighter, he should have been the bigger man on fight night or even if Jacobs rehydrates a lot, Arias should be used to fighting 168 lb fighters who rehydrate.

Jacobs is a very good dude I've been trying to get him to promote all the good shyt that he does more but dude doesn't even want the credit. :hubie: Mind you he didn't even start to make real money for his fights till recent and has been doing his philanthropy thing since his comeback. He helps a lot of kids in the ny/nj area with cancer, he is currently paying for a gang of kids physical therapy in NJ, donates/helps raise a ton of money at events. Random people email the head of his non for profit to do stuff and if he isnt training he will do it.

Obviously im biased or whatever but I want to see dude bring in big paydays because he will do a lot of good with the $ and him becoming a bigger star will bring a lot of awareness to the stuff he does outside of boxing. I will say this though he is a good dude till he gets in the ring it's crazy how he turns that on and off even in sparring. :gucci: I'm glad that ain't my job those sparring partners earn their money :huhldup::huhldup:
