I think Jacobs blasts Lemieux out. I don't think it'd be that competitive really, whereas I think the Charlo or Eubanks fights or pick'em bouts.

but you know anything can happen in boxing.
Agreed I think Jacobs wins that fight, but still would be interesting. Two big punchers and Lemieux has a chin, so he might stand up to Jacobs a bit.

Dan Rafael chat wrap 9/1:

Mayweather vs. McGregor:
- His sources are telling him the PPV buys won't break the Mayweather-Pacquiao record. It may be slightly over 4 million buys. The 6.5 million might be the worldwide total.
- Mayweather Promotions claims they broke the live gate record. Won't know for sure until the commission reports the total.
- Gervonta Davis looked awful, lets be honest.
- If Conor was to fight in a boxing match again, most likely opponent? Paulie.
- Thoughts about Conor? Turns out that he liked dealing with him and was impressed with his effort and how he handled the loss.
- Believes that at age 40, Floyd would have trouble with the younger fighters (Spence, Crawford).
- With the Floyd era coming to a close believes that Canelo and Joshua are going to be the new faces of boxing.
- Conor fought like a novice with heart. Doesn't throw his punches properly.
- Floyd's legacy is the best fighter of his era and one of the best ever.
- Badou Jack looked great.
- 50 and 0 is not a record, but it is a great achievement and a nice round number.
- Didn't care for Floyd wearing a ski mask to the ring. A bit classless.
- Conor is getting the respect he deserves for his performance. He did better than expected.

The rest of boxing:
- Not sure what happens with the WBSS. No US TV deal and who knows if they can get one on such short notice. They want to sell the whole series as a TV deal and not let someone cherry pick the fights they want.
- Spence wanted to fight in Septemeber in his hometown. Due to boxing business, TV networks, etc. he will be fighting later in the year.
- Magdaleno vs. Juarez is looking like it will be at the Cosmopolitan Oct. 31 on ESPN.
- GB is saying Lemieux is a possible opponent for Cotto in December.
- Zero chance Matthysse will get a chance to fight Horn anytime soon.
- On the 154 lb. card is most looking forward to Charlo vs. Lubin. That is the real main event. Not the mediocre Lara fight.
- Showtime's goal is to have the 154 lb. fighters continue to fight each other and eventually unify the division.
- Loma vs. Rigo has not been finalized. Believes that if it gets announced it won't happen until after GGG-Canelo.
- Believes odds are that these happen and likely in NY: 11/4 Wilder-Ortiz, 11//25 Kovalev, 12/2 Cotto, 12/9 Rigo-Loma.
- Rates the GGG vs. Canelo undercard a C+. They aren't mismatches, but just fights he doesn't find that interesting.
- Stiverne will likely fight Breazeale.
- Margarito fighting is sad.
- Believes that Cotto's career may have been a little different if he hadn't fought Margarito with loaded gloves.
- Tyson's best win? Ruddock.
- Who wins: Bowe vs. Wilder? Until proven otherwise, Bowe.
- Mikey Garcia vs. Crawford or Thurman vs. Crawford? Both would be great fights, but both will not be next if they even ever happen.
- Crawford vs. Spence needs time to marinate so both guys can build their names bigger. Then both camps need to be able to work with each other. Probably his number 1 fight he wants to see in a couple years.
- Used to think GGG would beat Canelo pretty easily, but Canelo has improved and GGG has shown some slippage. Fight is very close.
- Believes Quillin can compete at 168.
- Thoughts on Mikey Garcia vs. Cotto? It is easy to call someone out on Twitter when there is virtually no chance of the fight happening.
- Cotto vs. Margarito? Won't happen. Cotto won't give him the payday and Margarito can't get licensed in NY.
- Lomacheno would toy with Davis.
- Horn vs. Vargas? Meh.
- Wilder vs. Ortiz is a great match. Two big guys, big punchers, big stakes, and not on PPV.
- MGM National Harbor is supposed to have a GB ESPN card in November.
- Hearing HBO is in the process of securing a new deal with Andre Ward (as a fighter).
- The WBC belt is probably the most prestigious, but to a lot of Latin and Asian fighters the WBA is really big.
- Thoughts on Mike McCallum? He was great. Hall of Famer, multiple titles, awesome body puncher, but never had a chance to face guys like Leonard or Hearns. He posed to much risk, not enough reward. Emanuel Steward managed him and Hearns and kept them apart.
- Possible we may see GB try to unify their Super Featherweights (Berchelt-Corrales).
- Ceiling for Teofimo Lopez? World champion, PFP list.
- Does Mosley's PED history give him reservations about him making the HOF? No, he will get in.
- Martirosyan is sitting on the sidelines as he stupidly signed with Don King.
- Spence vs. Thurman would be a great fight, but unlikely we see it this year or the first part of next year.
- With TR's new deal with ESPN, believes that more PBC fighters will be switching to TR. Beterbiev is just the first.
- Doubtful Brook is Cotto's next fight. Would be a good fight though.
