I got a lot of respect for big Floyd but his interviews are such a pain to listen to. :why: Somebody tell him who Danny Garcia is please. SOmebody just needs to get Broner to let his hands go. His defense wouldnt be so bad if he threw more. I know throwing creates openings and he could get countered but fighters only have to defend for 30 seconds a round when facing him.

He said, "I thought Broner would beat him easy":wow:

That shows the level of talent Broner possesses, but what good is talent if you don't use it or the Coach cant bring it out of you?:yeshrug:

AB wants to be legend...he needs to hire a legendary coach. How you gonna spend more money on jewelry than you do on your coach?:manny:

You wanna shine in the ring or outside the ring?:ohhh:

I heard rumors that he may be leaving Stafford though, so hopefully they are true and he's going to an elite coach:lupe:

Facebook n Twitter beef is heating up. Definitely a matchup worth watching, Prograis mentioned Granados first in an interview.

Timothy Bradley: I Don't Want to Do Any More Damage to My Brain

By Keith Idec

Timothy Bradley will always appreciate how much fans enjoyed and respected his epic performance in that unforgettable brawl with Ruslan Provodnikov.

Bradley was so dejected during the aftermath of his extremely controversial victory over Manny Pacquiao, the former two-division champion says he had suicidal thoughts. Beating Provodnikov in their stirring slugfest gave Bradley back his rightful place in boxing and re-established the confidence he needed to upset Mexican legend Juan Manuel Marquez in his following fight.

Memories of his brutal battle with Provodnikov in March 2013 also made Bradley more comfortable with his recent decision to retire. Bradley, who suffered a concussion against Provodnikov, just doesn’t want to go through anything like that again.

The Palm Springs, California, native told co-hosts Gerry c00ney and Randy Gordon during the most recent episode of SiriusXM’s “At The Fights” that he was worried he would suffer permanent brain damage if he continued to fight.

“I’m very happy,” Bradley said regarding his decision to retire. “I’m not upset. I don’t think I made a mistake. There’s always that window to come back, but, man, once I said I was leaving, man, I just said, ‘I’ll never be back, man.’ I made that decision before I just made the decision to hang ‘em up. But I left a lot of money on the table, I left a lot of opportunity on the table, because, you know, my family is the most important thing in my life. And I couldn’t imagine not being able to – if I stayed in too long – not being able to spend time with my grandkids or spend time with my children, you know, in my 50s.”

Bradley, who’ll turn 34 on August 29, retired with a 33-2-1 record, including 13 knockouts and one no-contest. His lone losses came in his second and third fights against Pacquiao, but Bradley made more money from his three bouts with the Filipino icon than he ever dreamed possible.

Now he hopes to spend his retirement enjoying the fruits of his dangerous labor with his wife, Monica, and their five children.

“I’ve been doing this for 23 years, man,” Bradley said. “I’ve been getting hit upside the head for 23 years. With all the information we know now about concussions and getting hit upside the head, I know it’s inenvitable for me to get a traumatic brain injury. But I know that if there’s any damage done, I don’t wanna do any more damage to my brain.

“So I’ve made good money in the sport of boxing. You know, Top Rank’s been good to me. I fought Manny Pacquiao three times, Marquez. Those were some of the big highlight fights there. I wish I could’ve had a chance at Floyd [Mayweather], but that didn’t happen. That didn’t happen, but you know, it’s all right.”

in reality i dont think timmy ever recovered 100% from that ruslan fight..i mean the absolute punishment he WILLINGLY took

Just saw @Newzz spotlight this on Twitter

:dahell:

thats the dark side of boxing...you have the journeyman who are literally paid jobbers but if you get ko'ed 38 times in 41 losses..you need to stop boxing and somebody should make sure you dont

:whew: dropping jewels

What do you think about Freddie Roach? Odd mix but it might work.

Ronnie Shields?

RIP Emanuel Steward. I think he would have been perfect for AB

I think Freddie Roach, Floyd Mayweather Sr, or Naazim Richardson would all improve him immensely.

However, as long as he stays "loyal" to Stafford....then he's never going to truly be ready to beat a top tier fighter. If he does win, it's going to be off of pure natural ability. I don't think Stafford & him can go any further. He needs a trainer who can put together an amazing gameplan, plus has his respect in the corner.

I too thought that it was gonna be easy work for Broner facing Garcia but hes killing his own chances
that video is basically Mayweather Sr saying LET ME TRAIN YOU.
Nothing wrong with wanting to be like your idol but if you're gonna be like your idol then be like your idol was at your age - LET YOUR HANDS GO.

Now I think hes overreacting telling him to leave boxing if he doesn't because he still has a lot left in his career, he will be a first ballot hall of famer and he will be a champion at 147lbs and beyond but he can not reach this level if hes not focused (and no, you aint fully focused just because you come out right before camp saying you are) . That means getting rid of distractions, stay away from the bad influences out in Ohio, get rid of the alcohol and focus.

As a matter of fact I dont even wanna hear about Broner being at a party anymore if Floyd aint there :dame: nikka needs to be around people who are disciplined. His current trainer has reached his limits he is no longer capable of training him to world level heights, if AB is happy to continue beating up on C class fighters like the Granados of the world then by all means keep that same trainer but if he wants to be a champion at the higher divisions then hes gonna have to call up the TMT specialists.

Broner will end his career an elite fighter when its all said and done (IF HE MAKES THESE CHANGES). 3 losses before 30 isn't the end of the world if you want to be elite. One of the greatest to ever do it iirc had 3 losses by the time he was 28.

I believe they call that man 'The Hitman' :desiigner:

People call Floyd a coward, but the style he fights with is a very brave style of boxing. You have to trust your defense, technique and your eyes. To be watching big shots glance off your shoulder, mere inches from your face with your eye open to counter is crazy when you think about it. Broner just wants to do it, but doesn't do anything until the bullets stop flying.
