Like I said.....he's just searching for a payday:ufdup:

Rigondeaux: I'll Sign Contract For Magdaleno Faster Than UPS!

By Ryan Burton

WBA super bantamweight champion Guillermo "El Chacal" Rigondeaux (17-0, 11 KOs) is very interested in unification bouts.

The 36-year-old appeared to fulfill his mandatory obligation when he blasted out Moises Flores in the first round of their fight two weeks in Las Vegas on the Andre Ward-Sergey Kovalev undercard.

Both men threw punches after the bell to end the round and Rigondeaux's punch, which knocked out Flores, was deemed legal at the time. However, a few days ago the Nevada State Athletic Commission overturned the ruling and changed the result to a no-contest. That change will likely cause the WBA to order a rematch.

High on the Cuban's wish list for his next opponent is WBO champion Jessie Magdaleno (25-0).

The Las Vegas native captured the title last year when he outpointed former multi-division champion Nonito Donaire. Rigondeaux used to have the WBO strap, having won it when he got off the floor to outpoint Donaire in a high-stakes unification fight in 2013. He was later stripped of the title due to inactivity.

Magdaleno and Rigondeaux were at one-point under the same promotional banner, Top Rank. Rigondeaux left Top Rank a few years ago and inked a promotional agreement with Roc Nation Sports last year.

Magdaleno's promotional affiliation is no issue for the two-time Olympic gold medal winner, who wants that unification bout at all costs.

"I am waiting for him because he has something that belongs to me. That title he has belongs to me," Rigondeaux told BoxingScene.com.

"They took it from me because I went so long between fights and couldn't get fights. He fought Nonito and beat him. Now Magdaleno has the title and I feel sorry for him because he has something that belongs to me. I saw an interview where he said he wanted to fight me and I am available right now. I will be there faster than UPS or Fedex. Just let me know."

Bu-bu-but, he wants to fight Lomachenko:mjcry:

:birdman:

What did you read in that article that made you think he JUST looking for a payday :dwillhuh: yes a fighter should get paid to fight :what: but he ain't out here trying to cash out and retire tho. At one point you say he looking for a payday against Loma and not calling other fighters out, but now he calling other fighters out. The man just trying to eat out here. I dnt see why you can't respect it. There is less skilled and talented fighters that get more pub than Rigo. You be all up in here big upping Farmer who ain't got half the talent as Rigo. So what's really the issue with Rigo breh. Maybe he should make act like a clown like AB and dnt take the craft serious, then maybe you will like him lol idk. One thing we do know is that he is the best fighter from 118-126. So who wouldn't want to see him fight :ld:

He was JUST calling out Lomachenko at 130, now he's ready to sign faster than UPS to face Magdaleno at 122.....and you think he's not looking for a payday?:comeon:

Nobody said anything about retiring either, I said a big payday. Same thing Timothy Bradley is doing right now.

At one point you say he looking for a payday against Loma and not calling other fighters out, but now he calling other fighters out. The man just trying to eat out here.

This is what I've been saying over and over in here, day after day, but yall acting like if you type (rather than me) it makes it accurate:mindblown:

The dude is calling out fighters while talking about #ShowMeTheMoney and yall argued me he isnt seeking a payday:dead:

And pretend like Rigo cant get a fight if he REALLY wants to:usure:

He's the WBA Champion, he has a whole list of fighters....the entire WBA Top 15....that he can go down until he finds an opponent. Champions don't have to search too hard to find a challenger.

1. Moises Flores
2. Daniel Roman
3. Tomoki Kameda
4. Emanuel Navarrete
5. Tj Doheny
6. Evgeny Gradovich
7. Oleksandr Yegorov
8. Vladimir Tikhonov
9. Jason Moloney
10. Jun Qiu Xiao
11. Rico Ramos
12. Yusaku Kuga
13. Franklin Manzanilla
14. William Encarnacion
15. Jhony Moreno

^^^ He could fight any of them, or even face Flores again in an immediate rematch, or move down to 118 or up to 126. Instead, he's searching for that TR payday bc no one else will pay him what he's looking for.

I dnt see why you can't respect it. There is less skilled and talented fighters that get more pub than Rigo. You be all up in here big upping Farmer who ain't got half the talent as Rigo.

Are you gonna sit here and claim Tevin Farmer gets more pub than Rigondeaux?:comeon:

And I like Farmer, because I like the way he's REALLY willing to fight whomever, evidenced by the fact just a couple months ago, he fought on a small Philly card off TV just to stay active....something Rigo doesn't do.

So what's really the issue with Rigo breh. Maybe he should make act like a clown like AB and dnt take the craft serious, then maybe you will like him lol idk.

Maybe he could be like Adrien Broner and actually move up 4 divisions to go after challenges, instead of sitting in the same division for over 8 years already, where fighters don't wanna face him, and then complain about being ducked and not making money because his online fanbase, such as yourself, would NEVER actually go buy a ticket to go and see Rigo fight live in person....just post on the internet that he deserves to make more money, even though you cant find a reason to actually go and support him in person to PUT money in his pockets.
:ld:

Then yall wonder why he gets paid as low as he does....because his "online fanbase" is just that. Online. None of yall support him in real life, so that = lower paydays. AB doesn't have that problem, we show up:manny:

One thing we do know is that he is the best fighter from 118-126. So who wouldn't want to see him fight :ld:

We don't know if he's the best fighter at 126, he's never even faced anyone at 126.

you stan swift and youre talking to me about fighters who cant make adjustments :russ:...tell me again if lomachenko is skilled why couldn't he avoid losing his zero against salido? :umad:
1. Danny not making adjustments doesn't cancel out the things he does well like punching with his opponent or setting traps. Danny not the best boxer in the world but he actually thinks in there and has shown that he can outbox good opponents. Ask lucas, lamont, and zab if he can box.

2. Salido was 30 pounds overweight and cheated to win. We need to stop acting like the salido fight was fair. He didn't win, he cheated

Matter of fact, all you "Rigo deserves more money", and ignoring the obvious fact the reason he doesn't get paid is because nobody supports his fights in real life, fans........please let me know when was the last Rigo fight you showed up at? What Rigo merchandise do you have? Did you order Ward/Kovalev 2 or did you stream it? Do you follow Rigo on social media? Do you talk about him to casuals to help get his name out there when discussing Boxing?:jbhmm:

Then ask yourself are YOU doing enough to help him go to the Promoters/Networks and demand bigger paydays?:patrice:

Because once I drop this video from 2 weeks ago showing that even Andre Ward is about 20x the draw Rigo is....I aint trying to hear no more:camby:

Funny how only black fighters, managers, etc have to prove their greatness while every other demographic can fight whoever the fukk they want with no media scrutiny....... and still get placed high (or even #1) on damn near all p4p lists

Why are we the only ones that have to "dare to be great"?

Where is this pressure on these other guys?

shyt is disgusting

Act like Rigo ain't been the most blatantly ducked fighter the last few years. If one of them fighters fight Rigo that's a guaranteed L with a small payday for that L. You got top fighters saying they wont fight him what make you think the lesser known fighters are going to risk that L.

Rigo not built to go up 4 weight classes. Broner is a great fighter but the reason he is a draw is greatly due to his out the ring personality and reality tv type persona. If Broner didn't involve himself in fukkery he would be like Tcraw a great fighter with no casual following.

Rigo is one of my favorite fighters so I would go and see him fight. He just never been in my area. I support him by buying the last PPV and the PAC PPV he was on and watching all his other fights. But that dnt make me less of a supporter by not going to his fights so I dnt get what you trying to say here.

How is Farmer willing to fight whomever and not Rigo. Rigo needs fights but I think he is tooo big to fight them type of cards of breh come on.

I was just trying to see your reasoning behind your hate for Rigo.

And like I've said about GGG when his stans were claiming he was being ducked.....you move up. Just like SOG did and MANY other fighters have before (i.e. Vasyl Lomachenko :sas2: )

Rigo not built to go up 4 weight classes.

There's literally only 12lbs separating divisions 118, 122, 126, and 130. There's no excuse for Rigo not moving up and down in weight while everyone else around him have done so:manny:

Broner is a great fighter but the reason he is a draw is greatly due to his out the ring personality and reality tv type persona. If Broner didn't involve himself in fukkery he would be like Tcraw a great fighter with no casual following.

He's a draw because he actually has entertaining fights, people actually show up to his fights, and tune in on television as well to add to the bolded. Rigo has no personality as far as we know, doesn't speak English, and doesn't have exciting fights.....and his fans don't show up. They just stay online and claim that he needs to be paid more money, excluding the fact that the more tickets you sell = bigger paydays for the fighter:yeshrug:

Spirit tickets aint nothing, you could fly to his last 2 fights in Vegas:hubie:

How is Farmer willing to fight whomever and not Rigo.

Because Farmer literally fights whomever he can fight....Rigo doesn't. You even gave the excuse for Rigo not fighting anyone:

^^^Rigo could fight anyone in the WBA's Top 15 at 122, move down to 118 or up to 126. Instead, 8+ years later, he's still at 122 claiming he cant get fights.

Move up then:ld:

I was just trying to see your reasoning behind your hate for Rigo.

I don't hate Rigo, I hate the fact his fans claim he "deserves" money when I've seen 1sthand that he's a literal non-draw and brought 0 to the Ward/Kovalev 2 PPV as co-main event. Who can I blame for the fact that barely any Rigo fans showed up? Rigo fans:ufdup:
