He would be a good addition to the GGG Canelo undercard if he can find an opponent

Lucas Matthysse vs Robert Guerrero would've been perfect actually:yeshrug:

That would've been an all-action fight and a winnable fight for Matthysse on his road back to contention:manny:
shyt I know Garcia is tough as they but he may come out looking like the poster child for a motoycle Helmet law scare campaign :hubie:

In this video interview with Marcos Villegas of FightHub, Shawn Porter talks about where he wants to go from here in his career. Check it out...

Porter on what he’s been up to:

“...At this point we fought Andre Berto a few months ago now and now we’re mandatory for that WBC title that Keith Thurman has in his possession so we want to take that from him as soon as possible.”

On his take on the Brook-Spence fight:

“[Spence] did a very good job. He did a very good job. I thought the fight was close, up until six rounds, I think I had it dead even after six rounds, and then a lot like Ward and Kovalev, Errol Spence started to pull over and take over the fight and even made him take a knee. I just thought he was strong, smart, did all the right things and that’s what you’re supposed to do so congratulations to him.

On how Spence had success against Brook where he fell short:

“Errol did what I didn’t do. Errol was patient, Errol picked his punches and he handled the fight. He managed the fight very well, unlike me, I went in there for 12 rounds literally trying to knock someone out, trying to hit him with every punch that I threw, and knock him out with every punch that I threw.

“So, definitely the patience that Errol Spence showed was definitely seen and it showed up - I think the patience that showed in the fight, it proved to work for him.”

On if he thinks he’ll have to wait on his mandatory shot at Thurman as he and Spence seem to be keen on unifying titles:

“Well we have to wait for Keith to get healthy. Uh, he just had the elbow surgery. After that we will make sure that he understands that we’re the mandatory for this fight and no one’s gonna fight you before I fight you! Simple as that.”

Porter: No one is fighting Thurman before me!

Like I said.....he's just searching for a payday:ufdup:

Rigondeaux: I'll Sign Contract For Magdaleno Faster Than UPS!

By Ryan Burton

WBA super bantamweight champion Guillermo "El Chacal" Rigondeaux (17-0, 11 KOs) is very interested in unification bouts.

The 36-year-old appeared to fulfill his mandatory obligation when he blasted out Moises Flores in the first round of their fight two weeks in Las Vegas on the Andre Ward-Sergey Kovalev undercard.

Both men threw punches after the bell to end the round and Rigondeaux's punch, which knocked out Flores, was deemed legal at the time. However, a few days ago the Nevada State Athletic Commission overturned the ruling and changed the result to a no-contest. That change will likely cause the WBA to order a rematch.

High on the Cuban's wish list for his next opponent is WBO champion Jessie Magdaleno (25-0).

The Las Vegas native captured the title last year when he outpointed former multi-division champion Nonito Donaire. Rigondeaux used to have the WBO strap, having won it when he got off the floor to outpoint Donaire in a high-stakes unification fight in 2013. He was later stripped of the title due to inactivity.

Magdaleno and Rigondeaux were at one-point under the same promotional banner, Top Rank. Rigondeaux left Top Rank a few years ago and inked a promotional agreement with Roc Nation Sports last year.

Magdaleno's promotional affiliation is no issue for the two-time Olympic gold medal winner, who wants that unification bout at all costs.

"I am waiting for him because he has something that belongs to me. That title he has belongs to me," Rigondeaux told BoxingScene.com.

"They took it from me because I went so long between fights and couldn't get fights. He fought Nonito and beat him. Now Magdaleno has the title and I feel sorry for him because he has something that belongs to me. I saw an interview where he said he wanted to fight me and I am available right now. I will be there faster than UPS or Fedex. Just let me know."

Beating Emmanuel Taylor aint enough to say he's back yet...he at least needs to beat a WW gatekeeper before jumping in with Pacquiao:hubie:

Pacquiao already destroyed Margarito's 100% eye, imagine what he can do to Matthysse's reconstructed orbital bone:damn:

guerrero is dark match status to me breh...i dont want to see him on my TV until he can rebuild....he is lower than ber:to:

That's why I thought it would've been a perfect fight for Matthysse.

Guerrero is only a name at this point. BUT he does come to fight which would play right into the hands of Lucas. Matthysse would be the 1st person to actually beat Guerrero via KO imo, and with it being on Canelo/GGG, it would've got his face back out to the casuals in a dominant fashion:yeshrug:

Well it might be Schadenfreude for Guerrero being 2 weight world champ and Matthysse not getting 1.:lupe:
