Prograis was nice he rose to the occasion.
When I saw him in the past he was impressive but I was kinda concerned about his lack of head movement, but on this fight he had a solid if not airtight (that's not even an expectation especially not from an aggressive fighter) defense and solid head/body movement.
Will be interesting how his career shapes in the future. Would like to see him vs Lipinets, both are rising prospects/contenders, both with Haymon
He actually got hit last night a bit too much for my liking and his nose was bloodied up after the fight, but it seemed like he wasn't really too concerned with Diaz's power. He'll have to avoid that if he faces a bigger puncher, I like that Lipinets matchup, I saw another suggestion on twitter about Amir Imam, I would like to see that as well.

Prograis said before the fight that if he didn't feel Diaz power was good enough, he was going to just walk him down to get him out of there....and he did exactly that.

Very impressive performance at this stage of his career:obama:

He did a really good job of walking Diaz into his straight left, nice traps. Very nice precise hooks. All that being said as soon as he landed a power punch his defense went out the window. If you look at when he landed his last few punches, he was standing straight up and wasn't dipping his head with his shots. But, those are really advance criticisms. He did a really good job, and as improved a lot over the past 18 months. Showtime got some potential in him.

I been tellin yall. canelo coming for EVERYBODY. only reason to feature danny is to build him up as a possible opponent for canelo in the future. canelo is about to do some historic shyt at 160. you can tell he wants to shut everybody up who doubted him. this is the same guy who fought floyd, prime lara, and prime trout at age 23. and also was gonna fight Paul Williams at 22. and people really questioned the man's heart?.....smh

he's coming for the false king right off the bat, then he's droppin everybody. danny, lemieux, charlo, saunders....canelo's resume gonna be godly in 2 years time:CaneloRejoice:

nikka is about to have a better resume than ggg at 160 in 3 fights :russ:

He actually beats Jacobs

I think that has to do with the fact he didnt respect his power.

PC: When you say you got hit a little too much, did you just get too comfortable in there because you were able to do everything you wanted to do?

RP: Yeah! That's why, but I felt like he couldn't hurt me. It's 8 ounce gloves, everybody can get hurt, and looking at my face, I got caught a couple of times with unnecessary shots, but I knew he couldn't hurt me. I got hit harder than that before and I took 'em and I know I can take a punch. I don't need to be taking punches, but I know I can take a punch. That's why I got comfortable in there. I put my hands down and started walking him down. Like I said, I knew he couldn't hurt me, so I did what I wanted.

This is exactly what I saw happen. I don't think he's ready for the 140lb big shots, but well on his way.

Indongo doesnt hit hard...Prograis would eat those punches.
:comeon:
He bascally sent Troyanovsky to the underworld

He isn't really a heavy handed guy up close n a brawl but he has power from movement he really can punch from motion, and he is awkward as fukk + can move a lot
He'd be a handful for everybody at this weight. Right now I'd pick him over in 140 except Crawford

= Crawford and Indongo?
Craw Indongo AB Mikey Barthelemy. DiBella is a good promoter/manager, he will not put him with a Barthelemy level opponent for 2 more fights. Id be looking at the 6-10 level opponents in the top 140'ers. All those guys, Barthelemy really being on the cusp, have elite levels to their skillset. RP growing into his skills, and that's not an insult, just reality.

And you're saying what breh?:dwillhuh:

Didnt Bracero stop O'Connor in devasting fashion also....and what is Bracero's punching level?:usure:

We dont know if Troynovsky even has a chin....he ain't beat nobody. So using an unknown fighter being KOd doesnt mean much to me, bc we dont know about his chin at all.:manny:

We not talking if he wins or not...we talking about taking punches.

Yes, Prograis would eat the shots from Indongo.

nah... Broner last fought in 147, let's see if he makes 140 and how his Mikey fight ends up
Mikey hasn't fought in 140 just once against a tune up opponent, he ain't a big shot at 140 until the end of the Broner fight and even if he beats Broner he said he moves down to 135 so...
Barthelemy just got gifted a decision against Kiryl Relikh who lost to Ricky Burns so no... I don't think anymore that he's anything close to a 140 top dog.

140 top dogs re Crawford and Indongo right now, maybe Postol too cause he only lost to the clear #1 but he hasn't even fought since so idk...
