Breh, the video starts (01:10 and up) with Jacobs "best moments" on the inside half way thru Round 9....it was a 12 round fight. He only had success on the inside over the last 3 1/2 rounds? He had so much success inside, that his highlights of him getting at Golovkin = only 1:30 seconds out of a 36 minute fight?

Yet he won those rds...and mostly at close quarters. That's the point.

Nah, breh. Im cool on that. Besides, Jacobs is 2x better than any "come forward" fighter that Canelo has faced easily, so if I go and pull this:

From 00:00 - 01:24

^^^ Does that mean anything in GGG's favor knowing a washed up, Ann Wolfe-less Kirkland was able to get that off on him....knowing GGG is 10x the opponent?

If yall wanna use past opponents, then use them both ways:yeshrug:

I post an example of GGG actually losing rds due to his inadequacy as in infighter....and your equivalent to this is posting a video of Canelo getting ineffectively swarmed while effectively countering... to prove what exactly? :dahell:

GGG isn't a swarmer...so moot point...to whatever point you were trying to make that is. :heh:

Yall must be betting GGG wins via KO:heh:

I think Canelo needs to his use reach, speed, and reflex advantages by staying on the outside of GGG, forcing GGG to "sell out" to get closer, counter him while coming & then move. Almost like how Floyd beat Canelo oddly enough.:yeshrug:

I cannot see Canelo standing in GGG's range and just willing to be on some "whatever happens, happens" stuff....GGG is too powerful and accurate to stand and trade with for anyone.

Canelo has the speed & reach advantage, by sitting in the pocket, he gives up the reach and will have to hope GGG's power isnt as crazy as others have said it is. I think that's a bad decision.
I agree with this. Yes GGG can be beaten by infighting, but I wouldn't say that is one of Canelo's strongest points. That would have been the perfect game plan for Andre Ward. Ward would have had a size advantage and with the Kovalev fight (who is bigger than Ward) proved he could still use it effectively. I always said I would favor Ward and have him #1 PFP, mostly because Ward is the one guy who can keep chest to chest with GGG and be skilled enough to win the fight.

Canelo will be best suited to keep at a distance from GGG and use his speed and movement to accurately counter. That can be a very effective strategy for Canelo and is another way to beat GGG...but in order to do that you can't get tired or have any lapses where GGG gets to you. The Kirkland fight is a good example. Canelo showed the strengths and weaknesses of that strategy. At its best he was hitting Kirkland with clean punches, eventually landing a monster KO blow. At its worst Kirkland had Canelo winded against the ropes needing to take moments off to catch his breath. He has to avoid those moments because GGG is far more dangerous than Kirkland.

Because we don't accept an avi bet, we don't believe it?:jbhmm:

Interesting:jbhmm:

So....did you not believe what you were saying about Canelo beating GGG either bc you didn't accept the avi bet at the time?:jbhmm:

GGG is not my fighter as everyone else knows, just like you said Canelo aint yours above:mjpls:, so why would I engage you in an avi bet?:yeshrug:

Besides, your avi's are only for Tua's enjoyment....I couldnt accept one of those avi bets from you:hubie:

The GGG vs Jacobs fight says otherwise.

Jacobs had his most success while punching on the move, when he got trapped against the ropes or stood still, that's when GGG gained his advantages again.

I disagree here I think he had some of his best moments when he stood his ground and even turned Golovkin back sometimes

Who has beaten GGG by standing in front of him?

Canelo stands there, and he gets KOd. He's going to have to be able to move around the ring to keep GGG from planting his feet and unloading bombs on him.

Nobody cause most of his opponents were B level at maximum and mot of them went into full survival mode after a few rounds. Jacobs had success wth standing there.
and I disagree with the "if he stands there he gonna get KOd" argument cause I don't think Canelo standing there equals Canelo gets lit up. He has a good defense, better than Golovkin's actually and faster punches too he is also similarly or maybe more precise than Golovkin so idk... maybe you gonna see a relatively gunshy Golovkin after a few rounds even if Canelo stands there cause he's gonna get punished by those counters in the first few rounds. Canelo has to er his respect early no doubt.

True, but imo, it still remains to be seen how "high level" Canelo is at 160.

He's stood and traded with nothing but C level fighters at 154 (Floyd & Lara didnt stand and trade with Canelo, they were movers)....GGG is an A fighter at 160.

Sure, GGG's best opponent is a B fighter at 160, but the fact remains a B fighter at 160 > a C fighter at 154.

Yes it remains to be seen but I don't think he will have any problems. Chavez who's got a very solid chin pretty much went into survival mode against him and didn't even want to throw punches when Canelo damn near begged for it to him. There's not much new things we can tell about Canelo after the Chavez fight cause Chavez is just whack but I think one of the few new informations is that he has enough power to earn the respect and possibly eve hurt a natural smw with a good chin.

Again breh, Im not using Canelo's performances vs them just like Im not going to use GGG's performances vs Monroe/Wade to justify why Canelo wont beat GGG.

Imo, the fighters werent skilled enough to even be mentioned in the same breath as Canelo, and vice versa with Angulo/Chavez/Smith/Kirkland.....neither of their performances against those opponents are valid for me to use as a reason that GGG > Canelo or Canelo > GGG

I know that but I didn't say that he's gonna beat Golovkin because he beat those guys I just talked about "styles make fights" and why Golovkin's style is not all bad for Canelo like the styles of Lara or Mayweather.

3 moths and we gonna see. I expect Canelo's finesse, speed and creativity to prevail over Golovkin's power

Ive consistently said Canelo loses to GGG at 160.

I will say it again.....Canelo loses to GGG at 160.

And if anyone gets KOd, it will be him following a "stand in the pocket" gameplan.
