I can see where he is coming from. Skills still pay the bills even at heavyweight but I can't think any other division where power can be a game changer like heavyweight. Especially since the whole ABC title splits.I mean a guy like Lucas Browne getting a title against Chagaev with power since he doesn't exactly have the strongest background in boxing (compared to chagaev who has a solid amateur background with wins over Stevenson etc)
At this weight anyone has the potential to knockout damn near anyone if they land flush. How many upsets or turn arounds have we seen at this weight division Douglas vs Tyson, Morrison vs Michael Bentt, Lennox Lewis vs Oliver Mccall/Hasim Rahman, Max Baer James Braddock. Wladimir Klitschko's losses. I ain't about to say they were lucky punches but at this weight power can turn things around Ala Marciano in his losing effort vs Jersey Walcott put the hammer down. Its seen in other weight divisions but with the heavyweights its uncanny and when you got Wilder power shyt happens in the blink of an eye and all of a sudden things turn dark and you start wondering what happened and where the hell you are
I see Wilder's point but I also gotta say that being a knockout artist is a skill set as well. Even with Wilder's knockouts his timing and set up for the KO is crazy
In the UFC its even worse because they have smaller gloves and no one has gotten more than 3 title defenses at heavyweight since the company's inception.
i mean shyt thats why the Klitschkos, esp Wlad should really get more props for being dominant in their division
but yeah the heavyweight division now might be entering that dark period like the 80s..where now we have fighters like Browne and Charles Martin that called themselves heavyweight champions and soon either a badly faded shannon briggs (who hasnt beaten anybody of note in 10-11 years) or a fres oquendo who hans't fought in almost 3 years will call themselves heavyweight champion..dark period brehs
with that being said deontay might have just predicted how he's going to lose his belt

i got jumped and stabbed with a screwdriver. Boxing saved my life. I don't know how people even dare to get into street fights without some boxing background. Majority of these people are just hyper aggressive people swinging wide right hands and left hooks.

A fight before Broner would be good for him but I wouldn't be surprised if he would beat Broner like this. The "I stand on the ropes 2 and a half minutes then I hit him with 2 eye catching shots" shyt won't work against BradleyToo slippery
Bradley cant beat Adrien Broner breh....throwing pillows at Broner wont stop him from countering through Bradley's defense over and over again.

Wlad top 10 DOA . Unified the titles. It wasn't pretty to look at but it was damn effective. Which made the Fury victory all the more

I was out by myself and got into an altercation. It started off as just a normal fist fight 1v1 until I knocked the guy silly and then I got jumped by 5 or 6 of his people. In the ruckus I feel my face getting punctured by something and then the back of my ear gets sliced. There's blood everywhere from my ear and two little holes in the side of my face
I also got a broken knuckle and a sprained wrist and I got to go probation tomorrow looking like this 
was just watching this fight
this is what made 90s-early 00's heavyweight action so good..the b-levels got it in..mo harris..so hot and cold but talented..i never thought highly of jefferson though
