I've never taken a Subway in NYC before

its not bad...just got to keep inbound and outbound straight in your head and have the google maps app on your phone and its simple..i only screwed up once on that aspect when i left barclays after thurman-porter which thankfully @King P pointed that out quick and i was able to get off at the next stop that had a walkway to the other side

For a Boxing match that you have to travel too? Yes:ehh:

I already live in the snow....it's 18 degrees right now and ice everywhere. I don't wanna spend $500-$600 to travel where it's still possibly going to be snowing/ice/cold, and not even be able to go out on the town (because in NYC, it's rather difficult to drive amongst that many people under the slippery road conditions) either:yeshrug:

If it was guaranteed to be no snow on the ground and a decent weather weekend, then that would be much better. That's why I wanted Vegas:manny:
Yerp I c/s this and it was -14 this time yesterday in Chicago.....foolish

Only so long you can live off of a win over Sad Chad without facing any other top dogs, getting older, and less active.

Last 5 fights dating back the last 31 months: Andresj Fonfara, Dmitry Sukhotsky, Sakio Bika, Tommy Karpency, Thomas Williams Jr:usure:

He'll be 40 years old in September, hasn't faced a true threat in years, has low stamina, and a chin that has to get warmed up.....I don't see how he beats SOG, KKKovalev, or BeterBeast:manny:

5 fight during 31 months ain't that bad...
It's an estimated 1 fight every 6 months... :yeshrug: that's like the normal tempo nowadays

I think he is still a threat especially to those fighters who don't have that good D
Ward would take away his power straight left and would decision him bad but against the others I think it's still open... Kovalev is a very good fighter, his defense however was never that great and Stevenson's reach is longer. Beterbiev is a beast but he doesn't have an A level defense either and we can't know how he reacts if Stevenson lands a bomb

NAAZIM RICHARDSON REACTS TO BERNARD HOPKINS GETTING KNOCKED OUT: "I'M JUST GLAD HE DIDN'T GET SERIOUSLY HURT"
By Percy Crawford | December 19, 2016

"Wherever Allah wants me is the perfect place. Whatever he wants done, I will thank him and pray on my knees as often as I can in rejoicing. My thing is I didn't want the bull to hurt Bernard; I didn't want Bernard to hurt the bull," stated world-class trainer Naazim Richardson, who shared his thoughts on future Hall of Famer Bernard Hopkins getting knockout out by light heavyweight contender Joe Smith Jr. in his final fight. Check out what else Richardson had to say as he talked about the performance of Hopkins and much more.

NAAZIM RICHARDSON ON BERNARD HOPKINS GETTING KNOCKED OUT BY JOE SMITH JR.:

"I finally got caught up on some stuff and I heard some offensive statements, even from John [David Jackson]. John made a statement that when he was with us, he orchestrated the plan for Tarver and Kelly Pavlik and Bernard wanted to get back to that, and that's not true. That's not true at all and I don't know why John would do that. John don't need to do that. I was a little taken back by that, but like I said, nothing that these guys do surprise me. Maybe Allah didn't want me to be a part of that. And from what I heard he was doing in the gym, I probably would have gotten fired anyway because I would have spoke out against it. That probably would have got me shipped out. Couple of people told me they saw him getting touched with everything that was thrown in the gym, but nobody is going to say nothing. Bernard will give you a long speech about why he got touched in the gym and by the time he finished talking, it'll be right. I'm just glad he didn't get seriously hurt.

I hadn't seen a lot of Joe Smith Jr. prior to last night and I still don't know. And here is why I don't know. We going to get the opportunity to know because I'm going to tell you how they gonna do it. John David Jackson going to run over to the other corner and they gonna call Kovalev up and put Joe Smith in front of Kovalev and Kovalev going to knock him into the balcony somewhere and that's going to be even more disrespect to Bernard Hopkins. They got guys fighting now to get to Joe Smith. You're going to have guys come up, guys like Jesse Hart, going to want to come up and fight Joe Smith. We didn't know what was left in the tank with X. We hadn't seen him since the Kovalev fight and we don't know what he was doing in the gym.

I hope he finds what he's looking for. I'm still not going to badmouth him or anything like that. You can stand over me while I'm down with a stroke and badmouth me, but with the will of Allah, I'll stand up from a stroke and run across the room in the long run. I don't mind if you kick me while I'm down because I plan on getting up, but I refuse to kick a person when they're at their lowest moment. That's why I wanted to get with you before the fight and say some things because I didn't want the end result, no matter how that fight ended, to draw my first comments. That's why I got with you before the fight took place. And like I told you prior to the fight, it doesn't surprise me at all because that's the type of dude he is and nobody over there would step up and say nothing to him because who can?"

It's an estimated 1 fight every 6 months... :yeshrug: that's like the normal tempo nowadays

It's the lack of activity + the level of competition he's fighting.

Facing lower quality opps like Sukhotsky, Bika, and Karpency over a 9 month period isn't a tough road for any top tier LHW to do....Andre Ward just fought Sullivan Barrera, Alexander Brand, and Sergey Kovalev over a 8 month span breh for example

Kovalev's last 28 months were: Blake Caperello, Bernard Hopkins, Jean Pascal 2x, Nadjiib Mohammedi, Isaac Chilemba, and Andre Ward.

Outside of Caperello & Mohammedi (who were both on similar levels to the opposition Stevenson has faced in the majority of his fights over the last 31 months), Pascal 2x, B-Hop, and SOG were amongst the fights he had. Stevenson's best 2 opponents were Fonfara and Thomas Williams Jr. For me, the lack of activity combined with the quality he's facing when he DOES get in the ring, plus his stamina problems, and the fact he's only getting older.....I think he's losing those belts as soon as he faces either of the 3 (SOG, KKKovalev, Beterbeast)

I think he is still a threat especially to those fighters who don't have that good D

That's another thing I forgot...he doesn't have good defense himself either. SOG and Kovalev would kill him from the outside.

Im not going to argue this, bc it's true. Struggleman could bomb Kovalev straight out of there and Beterbeast is all "potential" at this point...I've just seen enough to say, imo, that Beterbeast is legit. I can understand the hesitation from others on him though.

Well said

I also think Beterbiev is legit but carrying out a straight left from Stevenson or not is not a question of being legit or not imo
I'd also favor Kovalev against Stevenson and probably Beterbiev too already all I was saying that it's still very open

I don't think Ward and Kovalev would kill him from the outside though, Ward would beat him on the inside and Kovalev better tries to gt closer to him too cause Adonis has a whooping 196 cm reach. Hrd to kill a guy like that from the outside
