The incentive is that Lara would be the best "name" on his weak resume.. and could arguably be his best competition since going pro.. Lara is also someone who actully wants to fight Golovkin (AT 160) and im sure he accepts that he's the B side..

Fight would be the arguably #1 guy at 154 vs the arguably #1 guy at 160.. should make for a decent scrap

But that doesn't answer my question. Does it make BUSINESS sense for GGG to face Lara when Lara is a non-draw, does horrible TV ratings + cant sell tickets, he's only made $1 million once (and that's because he was on PPV in the ME against Canelo), has no fanbase, and is completely high risk - low reward?

I was just told yesterday that the sport is more about business than the actual act of Boxing itself. If that is the case, there is 0 incentive for GGG to waste time with someone like Lara who brings nothing to the table.

When did any of us say we didn't want to see Canelo vs lil g it should happen just on the a side terms. That's why Lara said he would go to Russia and fight him at 160, Lara understands how boxing business works. :francis:

But I could've swore I was just arguing yesterday and you said GGG not fighting Lara was a smart business move...now you saying they should fight?:dwillhuh::heh:

Oh my bad, I thought you meant from a fan point of view should he take the fight . Yeah if I was lil g I wouldn't take tj fight it's not a good business move. Lil g best option was nelo at 155.

Lara is a "name" that can help that resume and help build his rep.. Lara sold more ppvs than ggg did in a unification middleweight fight that was being marketed by hbo and the media as Hagler/Hearns 2 cant ignore these facts :jawalrus:.. ggg NEEDS fighters with names to fight him.. lets not start coming up with excuses for why the fights shouldn't to happen for this or that reason. Let Abel do that bullshyt

:mjlol: @ "imagine Jacobs vs Heiland" :dead:

The lengths they have to go to get a top ranked Middleweight to agree to step in the ring with GGG:wow:

This is absurd:mindblown:

I haven't seen this type of ducking an opponent in the same weight class since prime Paul Williams and prime Antonio Margarito had the Welterweights shook....and this is on a much larger scale being that GGG has 60% of the Middleweight Championships to offer if you beat him, a #3 P4P ranking to go on your resume, and the fight would be a bigger payday than Punisher and Margs could provide.:dead:

These Middleweights are basura:pacspit:

i think the word has got around in the gyms, if u look into videos of boxers talking ggg they praise his power like crazy, ive heard one say he hits like a heavywieght.

i just saw a video of nacho saying that ggg would ruin canelo.

I hope every Middleweight who refuses to face GGG is severely weight drained by fighting Canelo at 155:birdman:

I knew this division was weak, but not only is the division filled with weak fighters....they are filled with weak, SCARED fighters at that:camby:

A lot of fighters have A level power, that's not enough to duck someone. Hell, we just seen Jean Pascal and his weak chin fight Kovalev twice.........and Kovalev had already literally killed someone in the ring:wow:

Didn't Danny Garcia fight Lucas Matthysse when Matthysse was PRIME & heralded as one of the hardest hitters in the sport because of what people were saying about him and what he did to people (including the KO of King Pederson in 2 rounds iirc)....he still went in there and fought him & beat him at that.

This current crop of "top" fighters at Middleweight are pathetic:snoop:
