I like the trash talk and appreciate them trying to promote their shyt. But they really need to just shut the fukk up and fight. Especially Thurman. Canelo is getting a lot of shyt now and Thurmans literally been ducking the Porter fade a year but constantly talking jazz
That man hasnt been ducking Porter, and to be honest there is nothing to duck from Porter.
Porter is a great athlete who is a marginal boxer, and Thurman is a nice boxer who wants to be a power puncher.
Fact is, worse case scenario Thurman just boringly outboxes him.
Yuzo, lets say Canelo/ggg fight, who do you have winning and why? If you could bless us.
Mikey was givin it to Maidana at the start when they were going at it. It's a month old, but good to see Chino back training again tho.
Worst case scenario, Thurman gets KOd.
He's fought no one as good as Shawn Porter yet and has an extreme tendency of getting on his bike once the fight is brought directly to him, which could cost him rounds against Porter who will always be in attack mode.
Thurman has also not yet shown the ability to deal with inside fighting either and we've seen him visibly hurt inside the ring due to body shots....both of which are Porter’s Forte (inside work/body work).
Porter is not going to box with him, he's coming to maul & brawl....Bundhu/Guerrero fight showed that Thurman doesn't deal well that type of pressure. Unless he has improved that part of his game, I see Porter getting the W.
I don't see Porter KO'ing any top level fighters, more of a accumulation guy and I don't think he will hurt thurman at all, unless he just gets lucky.
I'd say Guerrero and Chaves are on the level of Porter and that is how poorly I see Porter as a fighter.
I wish I could say Porter was a good inside fighter, but I don't see it, he throws some nice body shots, but on the inside, nah, he is a little too wide and too square on the inside for my taste.
Porter coming to maul and Brawl will see him eat jabs and straights all night while opening himself up to Thurman's power and being hurt badly.
My opinion but I don't rate Porter highly at all and think he gets outclassed badly by a guy who is a level above and have more power and technique than he can handle.
We'll see. I think Thurman is gonna get the Devon Alexander treatment from Shawn Porter
I just don't believe he's gonna be ready for the leap in competition. Porter will be easily Thurman's best opponent he's ever faced....Thurman may be Porters 4th best.
