yeah look at bradley now...pretty much whatever momentum he had from that "win" over pac is done after that 3rd fight..his draw got killed...we are firemen :birdman: to getting whooped in an even more decisive fashion by a pac shaking off ring rust...head over heels on the gotdamn canvas man
Please pat with the over the top hate. Bradley got washed by pac :yeshrug: nothing to be ashamed about. Seems like he'd always lose to pac. But BATB will still be a force to come for a few years Pat. Still have money making monica too.

What happens when Manny can't slip those body shots like he couldn't against Margs? :jbhmm:

What happens when his 40yr old body gets pounded by a 170lb Mexican :shaq:

What happens when a slowed down Manny from body shots Manny can't move around like he wants to anymore?:jbhmm:

Like I said avi bet? :sas1:
Came at me when Canelo throws 229 punches in a match let alone land 229 punches like Margs did in the process of getting his career ended...:banderas:

As far as bets in down, I still got one my sexy Sergio avis for for which you ducked out of when he got mopped, what's gonna your excuse this time around Roy...:francis:

Those numbers are out of context...

like Krack said...people were being spoiled by the ridiculous and abnormal #'s Pac & Mayweather were putting up this past decade.

The only dude that did big numbers on PPV with relatively unknown opponents were Tyson...and he's a larger than sports type figure...

And it took Pac & Mayweather years & years & years of big fights before they were able to consistently draw big #'s on PPV with relatively no name opponents...

People forget Oscar used to avg around 300-400k buys on PPV when he didn't have big name opponent....or an opponent with a large fanbase (like Trinidad)

His fight with Chavez Sr. only did 500k buys....Sweat Pea 750k buys...Mosley 600k buys

Canelo's drawing power today is more or less consistent with Oscar's during his prime.

Also what help floyd and manny is they both beat oscar who was a cash cow

Canelo has already lost to floyd who is a cash cow

Canelo didn't get the passing of the torch

Nah

Nobody is saying or should've been expecting 700 - a milly buys

Canelo vs Lara & Canelo vs Angulo did 300+ Showtime PPV

Canelo moved to HBO got like 2 Milly views vs Kirkland... Then does "900k" vs Cotto on PPV

There is absolutely zero reason why after much more exposure, on the "premier boxing network" HBO, against a much bigger draw (Khan), on Cinco De Mayo, Canelos numbers are barely over the Lara/Angulo Range

Chavez Jr vs Sergio Martinez did 475 and that's with Canelo fighting Free on Showtime at the same damn time taking viewers...Martinez wasn't a bigger draw then Khan...Jccjr wasn't a bigger draw then Canelo today

PPV is fukked

I think hbo would promote canelo vs ggg heavily
Yeah, it would get a 24/7 and Face Off, plus hype on every HBO card in between. People here think Lamp's already talks enough about GGG, wait until the fight is made. :lolbron:

A huge benefit I think would be the free media promotion. It seemed like sportswriters and networks were pretty uninterested in Canelo-Khan, Mayweather-Berto, and Bradley-Pacquiao. I think Canelo-GGG would have a bigger media interest and you would see free media advertising of everyone trying to get their clicks or views talking about the fight because the consensus is that visually that fight will be interesting to watch vs. these other fights that many found disappointing recently and Canelo and GGG have names recognizable enough to get some bonus public interest.

I don't think it does 1+ milly buys like Dan has been saying, but it should do solid numbers. And didn't Khan and Cotto get $10-15 million guarantees?...GGG would probably be 1/3 to 1/2 that.
