Yeah I'm not buying these Canelo numbers being spun as great for a supposed #1 draw to do around 400k or under on the biggest boxing date of the year. He was doing similar numbers fighting Angelo and Lara (ratings poison) types on Showtime who have nowhere the stroke HBO has when it comes to promotion.

I do find it funny how so many of the Golovkin Hype Squad of boxing journalists seem so gleeful at the thought that the Canelo PPV numbers are lower than expected.
Two things Floyds thorough dismantling of Canelo stops him from getting that true leader of the sport hype for eternity...GB should have kept Canelo away from Floyd then, he'd have pacquiao hype by now..
On top of that ppv prices are simply ridiculous these days shyt fighters like Chavez Jr made himself into a ppv star with the 20-30 dollar ppv, fight fans aren't thrilled with constantly paying 70 dollars for mismatches, promoters greed are killing their own fighters to a degree...

Which is why I hope the numbers are weak De La Homo got some nerve trying to get people to pay 70 bucks to watch Canelo fight a cherry pick who was just looking to cash out once Floyd and Manny wouldn't take the bait.
Whatever helps to get Canelo/GGG type fights made quicker instead of throwing us another bullshyt September PPV of Canelo vs Lemieux so we can "let the fight build" nonsense the better. A damn shame the past 18 months cats like Berto,Algeiri,Lemieux and Khan were able to get PPV checks just to be jobbers.
