Badou Jack is not an up and comer:dwillhuh:

He's 32 years old (will be 33 this year), is the WBC Super Middleweight Champion with 2 defenses on them, and beat Anthony Dirrell, George Groves, and Lucian Bute (a draw, but we know he won).....he has a better resume than Dominic Wade, David Lemieux, and Willie Monroe Jr, who happens to be lil g's last 3 opponents, so why would Badou Jack be brushed aside?

"ppl would just say he has an agenda" - yeah, he would. He's a promoter:mindblown:

He's SUPPOSED to promote his fighters and Badou Jack is the best fighter on TMT currently & is only 1 division above GGG. Floyd should do exactly what he's doing when mentioning SOG, but also include Badou Jack's name as an opponent as well. That's what Promoters are supposed to do.
i meant up and coming as in mainstream is just trying to recognize who he is
i agree that floyd is a spotty promoter that should big up his fighters more
but in this incident he was just referencing a certain situation between ward and GG and talking about how the boxing
world does him/certain fighters dirty.

he wasn't trying to promote anything at this moment
he was just talking real shyt
floyd gettin hated on regardless tho:yeshrug:

It aint hate...it's truth.

Bob Arum CONSTANTLY brings up WBO Super Middleweight Champion Gilberto Ramirez as a possible GGG opponent whenever lil g's name is mentioned, and he's just as unknown to the mainstream as Badou Jack. I'd just like to see Floyd actually act like a promoter of Mayweather Promotions and acknowledge/build his only Champion once in all.

Floyd gonna get a pass regardless tho:yeshrug:

@Newzz, you like to discuss fight hypotheticals, not including how one thinks the outcome will be for Canelo-GGG, I can see a lot of the casuals being initially dissapointed by how the fight plays out. This fight is being hyped up with a narrative that it will be GGG and his knockouts vs. a Mexican warrior, so casuals will think it is going to be Gatti-Ward type action and aggression the whole fight.

To me that under sells how talented both fighters are. We have seen Canelo consistently follow a game plan and doesn't open up until opportunities are available. He isn't an irresponsible fighter.

GGG has the reputation of being a charging offensive machine, but that is a false label as well. He consistently has shown he will come forward, but box responsibly, and has only opened up irresponsibly when he knows the opponent has nothing for him. Versus both Stevens and Lemieux, who are well respected for their heavy hands and both have good handspeed, he started off less aggressive and boxed more, until he opened up more opportunities.

They have similar gameplans, but Canelo does it as a counterpuncher and GGG as the step forward initiator. I think the first half of the fight could be very methodical and showing off their technical abilities, until one of them feels like they have an advantage and then we will see a more aggressive fight.

Seems like more and more stuff floating Mayweather-Pacquiao 2 is coming out. Dan has stated he has no interest in May-Pac 2 and didn't think there was a chance it would be made...yet he included it on this poll. :jbhmm:
