Canelo To Golovkin: Earn Your Shot, Work Your Way Up!

MGM Grand, Las Vegas - According to WBC middleweight champion Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (46-1-1, 32KOs), Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) has not earned his shot at a huge pay-per-view showdown in the fall.
Golovkin, who owns the WBA/IBO/IBF world titles, is the mandatory challenger to Canelo's title.
Canelo will defend the title on Saturday night, against Amir Khan (31-3, 19KOs) at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The World Boxing Council has ordered the Canelo-Khan winner to fight Golovkin in the fall.
Canelo is a big favorite to win on Saturday. If Canelo refuses to satisfy the WBC's order, then he will be stripped and Golovkin - who owns the WBC's interim-title - will be elevated to full champion status.
The two camps have been at odds over the weight limit. Canelo, although regarded the lineal middleweight champion, prefers to fight at 155 - which is one pound above the super welterweight limit, and he refuses to face Golovkin at the full division limit of 160-pounds. Golovkin, as the mandatory challenger, refuses to fight at anything less than 160.
The Mexican superstar responded to Golovkin's recent comments, where the dangerous puncher called him a "businessman" and questioned the nature of the upcoming fight with Khan by labeling the contest as nothing more than a business move.
"Look, I've fought the best, I've never been afraid of anyone. You look at my last ten opponents compared to his last ten opponents and you guys can see. There is no reason to be afraid of him," Canelo said.
"If it was really about business or it was really about money, then we would have done it already because a lot of people want to see the fight. He needs to work his way up. He needs to earn his shot."
"He has to fight someone who can complicate him, someone who has skills. Yeah has all of these knockouts - but who has he fought? [He's fought] opponents that are right there to be hit."

CANELO is extremely talented but at 160 its a stretch to beat this guy .. they know this..they are the smartest guys in the room... if GGG was a cake walk or easy they'd jump at the chance to expose the hype job..
