Wasn't hand problems a major reason as well. He never talked about it much, but i thought he had chronic hand issues. And heard he didn't love boxing.

Was actually surprised how well he handled losing to Bareera. Very classy.

Some of my favorite memories were first getting into watching boxing and being excited for all Hamed's fights. I rooted for him and my dad loved him for the fukkery. He didn't care if he won or lost, he just liked the drama show. But I cared, Hamed was part of my original stanning crew. :mjcry:
natural swag. none of this forced persona floyd + broner nonsense.

This interview is a clear example of why Mickey Garcia will never make that leap to the next level. In order to take that next step, you have to create your own weight class. Finding your most comfortable weight, bringing smaller guys up, draining bigger fighters, utilizing these advantages to win fights. You gotta take care of business outside the ring before you can take care of business inside. I am a supporter of catch weights. CW's make fights happen that normally wouldn't happen.

When you're resume reads as

Theophane (2010 NOT 2016) :mjlol:
Campbell
****
Morales 2x
Khan
Judah
Matthysse

Herrera
Peterson
Malignaggi
Guerrero

You deserve a nice lil Cherry :eat:

How many of them were ranked in the Top 10 when Garcia actually fought them though?:jbhmm:

I only count 5 of em:mjpls:

If we're just naming "names"...that's cool. But only 5 were actually Top 10 opps, and, it still doesn't excuse him making a joke about him really fighting Rod Salka.:manny:

Also, Ashley Theophane in 2016 > Rod Salka in 2014:yeshrug:

Ring Rankings don't mean shyt to me especially havin Diego Ch:russ:ves Top 10 for over a year when the nikka hadn't won a fight since 2012 :dead:

Gavin Rees was "Ranked Top 10"

Is he a better W then Herrera, Paulie, Guerrero, **** or Campbell :jbhmm:

Yes. Gavin Rees when AB beat him was a better win than all of em except Herrera.

Malignaggi was done...lost 2 of his last 3 fights before fighting Garcia and had 6 losses already.

Guerrero is nothing at 147. Lost 2 of his last 4 fights before facing Garcia and struggled HEAVILY in his wins against Kamegai & Martinez.

**** also had lost 2 of his last 4 before facing Garcia and already had 4 losses overall. Was a good win for Garcia, because it was a step up for a young Swift at the moment, but not something to act :smugbiden: about imo. Swift beating **** is comparable to Robert Easter Jr KOing Algenis Mendez.

39 year old at the time Nate Campbell? Came into the fight off of 2 straight losses and had 7 losses already in his career. Khabib Allakhverdiev beat him even easier 5 months later with only 14 career fights at the time.

Gavin Rees had only 1 loss in 39 career fights (37-1-1), hadnt lost in his last 12 fights, was a former Junior Welterweight Champion, was ranked #1 by WBC, #2 by WBA, #5 by WBO, and #6 by RING.

This isn't a comparison between AB & Swift though...it's just saying that it's :scusthov: for him to embrace the "Cherry Picker" label:manny:
