I didn't agree with 119-109, but I think Cotto only won rounds 3 and 4 definitively.

very good fight and well- deserved win for trout. i felt cotto should not have took this fight right after floyd, son done been through a lot of wars and coulda took an easier opponent but i ain't mad at him for taking it.

trout stomach was growling and he just wasn't gon be denied in the ring on this day. he was the champ and was introduced and came out 1st- straight disrespect.scores was too wide but trout did win all the championship rounds. he kept his hands too low for my taste and i felt cotto might catch him late but he never did.

I was shocked at what I saw. I had it 10-2 Trout and I was confused by how close everyone on Showtime had it. Some of the rounds were close, but Trout just outworked Cotto. I don't know why Cotto insisted on walking Trout down without jabbing his way in. He was allowing Trout to control the fight and he became very easy to hit. Cotto actually fought his best when Trout was walking him down.

I wonder what this means for Canelo. He obviously wanted Cotto next. Does he fight Trout? Unlikely. Does he fight Martinez like he said he wanted to do? Who knows. Does he just bite the bullet and fight Mayweather? Not sure Golden Boy thinks he's ready for that.
