This isn't the 1st time he's spoken out against gays either. A couple of years ago, he said that gays should be put to death. Which is even worse.

It just didn't get as much fanfare because the Floyd/Manny fight didn't happen yet. The media & co wanted to keep Pacquiao as the "good guy" in case the fight did happen. So they turned a blind eye to it.

Now that the fight happened and Manny lost, he is completely expendable. Nobody's saving him now

Completely agree. Corporate America is greedy and they accept (or tolerate) a lot and only cut bait when they know the backlash will finally stick. You are right in that Manny has said that before, but he was marketed as boxing's nice guy. Also, the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight was a big one for me. They were happy to write about Mayweather's domestic abuse (as it should be), but they conveniently marketed and the majority fan base viewed Pacquiao as the nice guy, although he has admitted cheating on his wife and basically drinking and gambling to his detriment.

But hey, the media spent two weeks being mad because Cam dances in celebration, but won't touch the Peyton Manning sexual assault story.
