I have hand issues n always been told to go bigger could that have been doing more harm than good all these years
when you make a fist your hand becomes rock hard by immobilizing every bone in your hand. make a fist. feel it. feel the way that every bone in your hand is being immobilized. take it and hit it against the palm of your hand. feel the way that no bone in your hand ever budges when you do.
when you over wrap your hands or wear big foam gloves that can make it hard to make a true fist and when you cant make a true fist that means that every bone in your hand is not being 100% immobilized when you punch. that means that when you punch the bones in your hand are going to be moving around and force is not going to be distributed uniformly throughout your fist. its going to be distributed unevenly which may be causing some of the bones in your hand to be bearing an excessive brunt of it.
your fist should always feel dense and rock hard when you punch. i asked you to make a fist so you can be conscious of the way it feels when every bone in your hand is being 100% immobilized. thats the way it should always feel whenever you have on a pair of gloves too. no amount of padding is going to prevent a hand injury when the bones in your hand are moving around when you punch because you cant make a true fist.
