Do not overlook the fact that Haymon is making a fight with GBP. @Newzz but but ...

Khan is a bit different though, he is allowed to negotiate on his own, which is the word on this fight. Khan and his father negotiated the fight, not Al Haymon.
Remember Khan was allowed to negotiate with Pacquiao and Broner who wanted the fight (and would have been more interesting than n Bradley 3) was thrown to the bushes.

This is a weird one. Should be a good showcase for Canelo and possible KO of the year.

I think Canelo is gonna murder Khan as a showcase fight being placed on PPV.

Do not overlook the fact that Haymon is making a fight with GBP. @Newzz but but ...

Actually not......but as someone who's invested into PBC, you should already know that Khan has a different structure with Haymon than everyone else. He's able to negotiate freely on his terms (hence the negotiations with Broner, Pacquiao, and Brook over the years) without it having to go through Haymon

I have gone around to a few of the big name boxing writers twitter accounts and they haven't formed an opinion yet. There seems to just be general shock. No one saw this coming and they all just seem to think it is interesting.

The comments they are getting from fans range from horribe fight to really interesting, Khan has no chance to Canelo is too slow.

This one is going to be controversial and debated, but it will be interesting. Personally I dont think Khan as much of a chance, but it is interesting for boxing. Better than Canelo fighting Rosado or Monroe (he is a tougher matchup, but not well known). People will pay attention to this fight and it should do numbers.
