How the hell was HE the PBC fighter of the year over Danny Garcia, Leo Santa Cruz, Shawn Porter and Deontay Wilder?:dahell:

Wins over Luis Collazo and Robert Guerrero makes you PBC FOTY?:usure:

With those candidates, my order would've been: Danny Garcia, Deontay Wilder, Shawn Porter, Leo Santa Cruz, and then Thurman.

lets be real overall none of these cats would be fighter of the year...not really that outrageous breh

but porter has the best victory out of the fighters, but thurman had the most dominant victories

It is outrageous to me, because they are congratulating him, giving him big-time money, and patting him on the back for defending his title against Robert Guerrero & Luis Collazo:francis:

Why would Thurman do anything different in 2016, when he's getting awarded for facing that type of opposition? It's counter-productive to making the best fights:manny:

every now and then a fight gets revisited but not on a weekly basis like that

I gotta keep my eyes open. I'd like to join in on that discussion. Scoring fights live can be so darn emotional at times that going BACK and reviewing them without :drunk: in your system allows you to be more unbiased etc. Not that y'all didn't know this already :heh:

I don't like to re-score fights.

Keith Thurman: I'm Not Afraid To Fight Anybody!

TAMPA, FL – Keith ‘One Time’ Thurman was named the Premier Boxing Champions “Fighter of the Year” on Saturday, as voted on by the boxing series TV and cable partners (CBS, ESPN, NBC, Spike, FS1 and Bounce). Announced by NBC Sports on Saturday, Thurman bested his fellow PBC fighters Danny Garcia, Leo Santa Cruz, Shawn Porter and Deontay Wilder for the honor.

Thurman’s exciting victory over Robert Guerrero (which featured Thurman knocking Guerrero down in the 9th Round and Thurman fighting through a large hematoma) in March on the premier PBC on NBC card and his July TKO win against Luis Collazo on ESPN in front of his hometown Tampa, Florida crowd helped Thurman earn FOTY honors.

“This year has been spectacular, opening up for two networks – NBC and ESPN – and we’re (Team Thurman) truly looking forward to 2016. I’m happy to be champion, I look forward to defending my title for years to come,” Thurman said Saturday night.

“Boxing is getting so exciting for the fans, and for people that have been tuning in, we’re into the next generation and Keith “One Time” Thurman represents part of the next generation. 26-0 with 22 KO’s, not afraid to fight anybody. I want to see how far I can go in the world of boxing.”

1. Floyd defended his title against Bob The Ghost and no one batted an eye.

2. Danny struggled with PED before he smacked up Paulie. And people tend to forget that LSC had the worst fukkin' showing of any defending champ not named Klitscho this year on the Manny/Floyd card. Wilder and Porter are the only guys with a clear case for PBC Fighter Of The Year. But I PERSONALLY would give it to One Time becuz I like him the most of the 3. :pachaha:
