Must be embarrassing knowing thats the only way broner can get the wbo belt

Aboutvacants

About Vacants...that was funny:heh:

I know that's the only way Broner can get THAT belt, because Bob Arum will never match Terence Crawford up against Adrien Broner:mjpls:

Same with the WBC belt as well...AB has no chance of getting a fight with Crawford or Postol, so I need them to either be stripped or beat by a non-TR/GB fighter.:manny:

I was just watching some fights of Luis Ortiz for the 1st time...goddamn i was sleepin :wow:

A big 6'4" 240lb slick southpaw counterpuncher, with good footwork, balance & fundamentals, a 84" inch reach...and one punch KO power:wow:

He's practically the only Heavyweight i've seen in recent memory that had any semblance of elite boxing ability & talent. Damn shame about his age though.

I expect him to dispatch of Jennings easily.
him getting popped for roids set him back a little but yeah i feel hes going toshow out

I have to see him roid free in order to judge accurately:patrice:

This Jennings vs Ortiz fight is gonna be a major set back for the loser though.....I love fights like this:ohlawd:

K. Porter: I Believe Thurman is Having Second Thoughts

Posted by: Steve Kim on 12/3/2015 .

By Steve Kim

There has been a lot of talk regarding a possible welterweight showdown between Keith Thurman (who holds the WBA 'regular' title) and former IBF beltholder Shawn Porter - two of the more talented boxers under the Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) umbrella of Al Haymon. But as of yet, no date has been set for that match-up.

Kenny Porter who trains and manages his son Shawn, told BoxingScene.com:

"I have been reassured that the Keith Thurman-Shawn Porter fight is going to happen in 2016. As of this moment I haven't received a date, I have not received a venue nor a city. But I have been reassured that they are going to fight."

Porter will be in Brooklyn this weekend to see this Saturday's fight card at the Barclays Center and hopes to get some answers from the powers that be.

"I'm going to the (Danny) Jacobs-(Peter) Quillin fight to be a part of the event, to see the fight, enjoy the festivities of that and hopefully get a few minutes with the people that are involved with putting this fight together to find out what is the status of it and also to let people know that Shawn Porter is ready to fight Keith Thurman or whoever else is wanting to fight us and the level that we fight at," said Porter.

"Obviously, when you're trying to get a big fight like this one put together there's a lot of intangibles, a lot of things to put it together. But I'd like to know if some of those things have come to pass and if some of those things have been accomplished at this point."

So is he as confident in this fight coming to fruition as he was a few weeks ago?

"Three weeks ago is when I received my reassurance, so yes I am confident in that," answered Porter. "But moving forward, we're getting closer to 2016. I do really want to get more information in regards to that. So some meaningful discussions need to happen here, soon."

When Porter is asked if Thurman is reluctant to face his son - who defeated Adrien Broner on June 20th - for whatever reason, he says bluntly - "I believe Keith is having second thoughts in regards to fighting Shawn. There are a lot of guys that know Shawn from the amateurs that know more about him then people know on a professional level. So when you yourself are that guy that's in that tournament with that kid and he's dominating the competition and you're not, and Demetrius Andrade's last loss in the United States was to Shawn Porter but Keith Thurman lost to Demetrius Andrade two or three times, every time they met - those things stick in your mind."

"So I believe that it's not an easy of a pass as most people may think because they just don't know the back history of Shawn and how long he's been doing this. A lot of fans are not educated to the coaches, as well, because I've had numerous opportunities to work with a lot of young professional champions that we have right now: your Gary Russells, your Charlos, and your Demetrius Andrades. I've had numerous occasions to work with all these guys in amateur camps, in professional camps as well."

Porter is convinced he has some valuable inside information on 'One Time' from past experiences.

"So Keith Thurman is no different, I coached him in the amateurs, I've worked his corner in the amateurs, I've worked in his corner in international competitions, I've worked his corner in a professional fight here in Las Vegas. So there's a lot of things that come to play when you get ready to set that fight. You've got a lot of things to think about."

I agree with everything he said here:manny:
