Aaron Pryor vs. Alexis Arguello

Pryor00003_(1)-530x317.jpg

On November 12, 1982 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, Florida, WBA junior welterweight champion Aaron Pryor, from Cincinnati, Ohio, defended his title against WBC lightweight champion Alexis Arguello, (77-4-0) from Managua, Nicaragua. The always unpredictable Pryor was undefeated at 31-0. Arguello was 77-4. And the fight was a war, a bona fide boxing classic…

top 10 fight of all time from 2 of my favorite boxer-punchers. this is what a ppv mega fight should look like.:salute::banderas::blessed:

this is why i want to see 15 rounders come back for championship fights...you cant replicate this type of drama with 12 rounders

i know but didn't they stop 15 rd due to health concerns?

because of literally one fight: mancini vs kim...on top of that there is no real study out there that this actually improved anything in terms of safety for the fighters...there have still been plenty of near ring fatalities or actual ring fatalities after the switch to 12...i have very old school leanings about the sport..cats get hit :manny:..15 rounds would cut down on the fukkery that permeates todays championship boxing (judging, physical conditioning)

The whole landscape of boxing would look a lot different today if 15rds still existed.

Off the top of my head:

Bute would been stopped by andrade
(Should've happened anyway)

Bhop would've been stopped by kovalev :mjcry:

Maidana would've ko'd khan

Broner might've stopped porter

Jcc jr would've stopped martinez

Exactly

Like ruslan would have koed bradley
Rios would have closed in on mike in the second fight
Vitali would have koed briggs badly
Jirov would've koed mesi
Peterson would've stopped danny
Miranda would have ended abes career

Lots of possible scenarios
