Secondly, and now that I think about it, since we have recently became a Champion again....I get to dictate the terms as the A-Side of this matchup. UNTIL Maidana comes back, you don't deserve to share the air time just to spew untruthful hate upon "The 4x Champion in 4 Different Divisions" aka "Only The 15th Boxer In History To Do It" aka "The Youngest To Ever Accomplish This" and I wont be able to fire back since Maidana is M.I.A with no eta of return

SINCE the Broner-Maidana fight, Broner has went 4-1 and became a World Champion again. Maidana? 0-2 and hasn't done anything but have us question whether he will ever return again or not


AB made the mistake of giving Maidana a name in Boxing to the casuals. After sitting at the negotiating table and rethinking the terms, Im not gonna make the same mistake by giving Mook a name to the "FTESL" followers or the rest of the Twitterverse

Porters never signed anything... Never received anything to sign...all Ken Porter did was tell the matchmakers they wanted One Time...this whole time Porter felt they weren't being told what was goin on

Hold up...hasn't Kenny Porter been yapping for weeks to anyone with a digital camera and a notepad talking about "Keith won't sign the contract, that's the only hold up" but now he and Shawn have never received any contracts for this fight either?
So if the Porters haven't even seen any contracts then how is Keith the one holding up the process? Why is Kenny acting like there is only one contract that has been drawn up to sign and it is at Keith's house in Florida and until Keith is done with it there is no way for the Porter Team to even read the agreement? Has PBC even drawn up a contract for this fight at all? Why does Kenny Porter run his mouth like a gossipy ho all the time?

Word has been spreading like wildfire that a big time matchup between Keith Thurman and Shawn Porter will take place on Dec. 12 and be aired on Showtime. However, we may have to pump the brakes on the excitement because when RingTV.com reached out to Porter’s father and trainer Kenny Porter, he was very cut and dry with his response.

“No fight to my knowledge,” Porter said to RingTV.com via text message. “No calls! No contract! No date!”

Team Porter has been actively seeking a big name to face before the end of the year after scoring a high-profile win over Adrien Broner back in June. Kenny Porter told RingTV.com that they originally had plans to go after Danny Garcia but Garcia’s team turned down the fight. They soon turned their attention to the heavy-handed Keith Thurman, who was recently seen scoring a seventh-round TKO against Luis Collazo to defend his WBA welterweight title.

“(Team Thurman) know Shawn from the amateurs when Shawn was knocking out people at 165 pounds,” Porter told RingTV.com in a recent interview. “They know what they have to deal with. Keith was 152 and he was losing to Demetrious Andrade while Shawn beat him in the world games. They know and are aware of what went on then and what will go on once they take that fight. There’s no posturing going on for TV we just want the next fight to be a big one and we made the call.”

Both Porter and Thurman were seen speaking to one another quite often during the week of Floyd Mayweather vs. Andre Berto. The two were photographed together and it appeared that there was a possibility that a high profile showdown between two rising stars had potential to take place.

But, at least according to Kenny Porter, there is no fight set in stone.

And let's not act like Keith Thurman is some chatty dude constantly searching out microphones or tweeting non-stop.
Dude gets interviewed when he shows up to other people's fight cards. So his silence is basically normal behavior for him unless he is out somewhere that boxing media is at. Kenny is the one who acts like his last name is Kardashian and constantly looking for some press.
Finally, if there is no contract then that is an issue to be addressed to Allah Haymon because he is in charge of those things. Now if the hold up is because PBC wants to move the fight to January as the kick-off to PBC's new year of broadcasting I can understand it but for Kenny to act like just saying you want a fight means you are the one all in and the guy not being an attention whore is running scared is ridiculous.

Maybe he realized Porter was serious about fighting him, because Thurman sure was everywhere running his mouth about fighting Errol Spence, Kell Brook, Floyd Mayweather, Amir Khan, & Virgil Hunter.....but all of a sudden, being silent is his normal behavior, ironicially, when it comes to the Keith Thurman vs Shawn Porter fight being mentioned

Gennady Golovkin's trainer warns Miguel Cotto & Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez

Miguel Cotto and Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez have been warned that Gennady Golovkin will not chase them in pursuit of a fight.

The winner of the WBC middleweight title clash on November 28 between Cotto and Alvarez, which is being contested at a 155-pounds catchweight, would be in line to defend their belt against pound-for-pound colossus Golovkin next.

Alvarez has suggested Golovkin should also agree to a similar catchweight but the Kazakh's trainer has insisted that can't happen because he is aiming to add to his IBF and WBA belts at 160 pounds.

"'Canelo' hasn't got a leg to stand on if he's going to demand to fight at catchweight," said Abel Sanchez to On The Ropes Radio.

"If he can't fight at 160 pounds then he can vacate the belt and we can fight somebody else."

Golovkin has forged an intimidating 34-0 record with only three victims escaping a knockout, and most recently halted David Lemieux earlier this month.

The undefeated KO specialist has been challenged by Chris Eubank Jr but his trainer Sanchez has warned all comers that Golovkin's focus is on middleweight title belts, not specific opponents.

"Gennady is not after Cotto or Canelo," said Sanchez, whose California gym is home to Golovkin. "Gennady is after the middleweight belt and he wants all four of them, the major ones.

"Once he does that, then we'll look at other options, but Cotto or Canelo is not what's on his mind.

"The middleweight belt is what's on his mind, and whoever is across the ring is the next victim."

I think they want to do like what Kilts are doing with the HW division. Once you collect all the belts they have no choice but to fight you. Old school way of thinking but it won't make him a star.i don't think beating either of them makes him a star. Him beating Ward probably wouldn't either. He needs to be able to prevok some type of anger and hate. Unless they play up the clean cut white boy image.

With that said I just want him to face better comp as a fan of the sport.

Its not excuses because there is no fight contract on the table. No negotiations, not a venue, no announcement from the promoter...nothing. All we have is Shawn and Keith saying they were down to fight and from there Kenny Porter talking like that was all that was needed to make the fight official.
If the Porter camp had signed and Keith didn't then you would have a point but right now all we got is both dudes publicly saying they were down to fight and then nothing official from PBC about the fight at all.
So while you may consider the daily ramblings of Kenny Porter as gospel, I have been calling bullshyt on his claims of people ducking Shawn since he said Swift declined a fight against his son.
But you go right on leaping to them conclusions if you want to, bruh. All your questions are not based on anything. Maybe Keith called Haymon maybe he didn't. Who knows? But nothing that has come from The Porters leads me to assume that Keith is ducking because there has never been one second of negotiating. Why aren't Kenny and Shawn calling Allah Haymon? Do they just sit at home waiting for Haymon to create a fight for them and don't even bother to ask any questions?
And I never slandered Swift at all (I wasn't a fan of that Salka fight though) because I am a fan of Danny like I do all the fighters from this area.

And about that Thurman quote on Amir Khan...the difference between that and this situation is that Keith wasn't running around like a scorned chick to anyone who would listen to him acting like there was a concrete fight on the schedule that Khan was ducking.
