Broner aint ready for 140, his power wont translate. He is still green, and nothing like a young Floyd, he needs to let 140 clear up, and stay at 135 for another year or so

BoxingScene.com has been advised that the WBC final eliminator between heavyweight contenders Chris Arreola (35-2, 30KOs) and Bermane Stiverne (22-1-1, 20KOs) will now take place on January 26th at the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.

The HBO televised event will be headlined by WBC/WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward, who will defend his titles against former middleweight king Kelly Pavlik.

Promoter Don King, who has Stiverne, secured the rights to promote the fight with a monster bid of $1.1 million dollars. Promoter Dan Goossen, who has Arreola, put down $550,000. King was trying to stage the fight on December 15th in Venezuela but the card fell through. Because King failed to finalize the fight, the promotional rights have now shifted to the second highest bidder, which is Goossen

i can't fault ward for facing pavlik...this is a stay busy fight before he either gets froch or kessler again... at the euros at the ESB forums being displeased that ward won't fight froch or kessler again and not in their home countries...if anything froch-kessler 2 needs to happen before one of them gets to ward..both of them got asses whooped thoroughly by ward so why not see who's the better man again...after all they did have the best super 6 fight

I don't think broner cares about clearing out the 135 division. He is most def green but I think he rather try to get a big name fighter... If he can fight anyone who floyd fought he would sky rocket. Too bad hatton is tied up. Too many big name fighters are all occupied at the moment and most def wants that money and shine.

clean out what? let's be REAL for a sec. do you really, really think hearn is gonna let one of his top fighters/draws burns come to the states and fight broner at this moment. at the same time burns fight in december just got cancelled because of his car accident. so burns is out of action for a while. for hearn, that makes no sense business wise especially in the states. even if u look at the vasquez-gesta winner, which im confident is gesta i can't see arum puttin his future "cash cow" with broner.

now abril, or even gamboa are possibilities at 135. overall, i just don't see broner staying at 135, when everything he is looking for $$$ and big fights is up north. robert guerrero even knows this.

Thats what I am saying no way he fights another no name fighter he will only fight bigger stars so that means moving up again. It just sucks that he can not fight before summer because all the big names are tied up. This is strictly about stacking that dough now
