Benavidez is injured...he cant fight anyone.

Khabib Allakhverdiev is the former WBA Regular Champion who lost the belt in his last fight. It's a good matchup.

He's speaking the truth? Ok...cool. But why get upset about the #2 Broner and #5 Allakhverdiev fighting for the vacant WBA Junior Welterweight belt, when I cant find any articles on google showing he had a problem when #1 GGG fought #13 Milton Nunez to become the WBA Middleweight Champion :sas2:
To clarify a bit from what Dan goes on more in the chats:

- He likes Broner-Allakhverdiev as a fight. Says he has no problem with the matchup.
- His problem is that this fight is for a belt, when he thinks it is a phony belt fight.
- Wishes Broner would focus more on boxing, going off of sources who tell him Broner isnt taking his training and fights seriously.
- Broner is talented and could make better use of his talent if he was more serious.

Flaws on both sides. Broner's come from the fact that everything Dan says is basically true. He needs to go out and prove Dan wrong. Dan's faults are that as ESPN's lead writer he shouldn't be involved in this childish back and forth with a boxer, who he should be covering. It is one thing to pick on him and be honest in your chats, where it is supposed to be "inside the mind" of Dan, but he can't be doing that in his coverage of Broner. You cant write factual coverage pieces and cloud it with personal feelings (He has been doing this lately, for fighters other than Broner, and it has been annoying me. I go to read a fight summary or fight build up and he throws in personal jabs, instead of keeping it unbiased.) I am sure there are other fighter and belt situations that were the same and he didn't say anything, he just likes to needle Broner.

I don't go to Dan's chats for his opinion on boxing. We got brehs here that can break down a fight and see more insight than he can. I still think for insider information he is one the best and puts out some of the most accurate info.

:yeshrug:

@Newzz , I don't know if you read through his chats or only look at my notes, but he goes HAM in his chats about shutting Broner up and how he is happy about it and takes pats on the back from the fans he chats with. You dont get to do that, then say: but Adrien is being unprofessional and not talking. :ufdup:Those tweets you posted were surprising.

I remember him giving Wilder all kinds of grief before the Stiverne fight. Here's the thing tho, when you've done this as long as he's done it, it becomes more and more difficult to seperate personal opinion and professional integrity. I'm not saying he's not wrong becuz there is no reason to hold grudges against these fighters but that's just how it is.

Broner and the Khabib nikka are both coming off Ls and getting a shot at the WBA.. what am i missing here that Dan said wrong? :mindblown:
yeah i dont mind the fight but having a belt on the line for this is a no no to me; just like when swift/peterson was made which i was cool with but no belts plus catchweight which made me give it the :camby: to the "give 2 shyts" section of the bushes

I agree with everything you just said here, and to answer your question...no, I typically wait for you to post the chat info.

If Fat Dan is hating on AB in his chats, that's really :snoop: worthy, especially when AB hasn't mentioned anything in reference to him since their little back n forth:wow:

Broner is fighting for a JUNIOR WELTERWEIGHT Championship. Losing at any other weight class doesn't affect your status in Junior Welterweight. That's what you're missing.

Secondly, did you or Fat Dan feel that way when Carl Froch fought Arthur Abraham for the WBC Super Middleweight Championship.....when both were coming off Ls?

He still gives Wilder crazy grief in his chats. To me that is fine. The chats have always been Dan answering questions honestly, giving insider info, and giving his opinion. Basically an outlet for everything that isn't in articles. But, when that stuff starts appearing in articles that are supposed to be "just the facts". :patrice:

I dont know why, but it is just clicking in my head we get a good Broner fight and good Matthysse fight this weekend. :blessed:

Did you feel the same for Carl Froch vs Arthur Abraham 2 which was for the WBC Super Middleweight Championship even though both of them lost, at Super Middleweight, in their previous fights?:sas1:

I just think its time for them to start really pushing Imam.. plus Broner/Imam who already been on PBC for the WBA strap makes too much sense

Breh, but that dont excuse Khabib coming off a loss though.. Why we rewarding losers with title shots? :dame:

At leat with Froch and Abraham they were fighting each other because they were taking part in that tournament..

Im not even  at Broner.. its more  at Haymon and the WBA for allowing them to skip right over Imam...
Why you saving these nikkas? :dahell:

I mean, we see it all the time. These writers and websites get too personal with the fighters. Look at the relationship with FightHype and Floyd. Same applies for FightGuru and Manny. Sometimes these dudes who are supposed to be our medium to that world get a little too peronally invested. But I always felt like it came from being in for so long.

Froch and Abraham were both coming off losses.

At least with Froch and Abraham they were fighting each other because they were taking part in that tournament..

:dahell:?

A loss is a loss breh right?. Their next fights shouldn't have been for the belt either then, especially since Dirrell beat Abraham & Mikkel Kessler BEAT Froch for the WBC Championship (just like Vargas beat Khabib for the WBA Championship), and Froch in his very next fight is fighting for the belt.....just like Khabib is doing:ufdup:

There was no reason or backlash for them fighting for the WBC Super Middleweight Championship & the belt did not have to be on the line. It could have been a standard non-title fight just like others were in the same Super Six Tournament.

Im not even  at Broner.. its more  at Haymon and the WBA for allowing them to skip right over Imam...

Haymon cant dictate who the WBA declares to match up breh, but he can advise you to pass up on a shot for another one. Haymon is Imam's advisor just like he is Broner's. With @TheLukieBaby giving us that info, it all makes sense.

Broner fights for the WBA Junior Welterweight Championship, Imam fights Matthysse for the WBC Junior Welterweight Championship in early 2016...both win and Haymon has 2 Champions at 140 like he did with Garcia & Peterson all over again.
