Swift my second favorite fighter in the w world but I doubt he would win more than three rounds against pac man unless Manny gets old over night
swift an exceptional counter puncher with power
he'll catch him with something when he comes in all reckless
also if you Factor in the mayweather L, the new money, and his lack of focus and passion for boxing,
he's there for the pickings

Danny also gets lost in the ring when his opponent mixes up his attack

Arum: Garcia Got Gifts, Not Competitive For Pacquiao

Posted by: Edward Chaykovsky on 9/28/2015 .

By Edward Chaykovsky

Top Rank CEO Bob Arum explained that he won't consider Danny Garcia as a possible option for Manny Pacquiao's next return - because he says the Philadelphia fighter would be battered in a one-sided bout by the former eight division world champion.

Pacquiao's trainer, Freddie Roach, would love to get Garcia in the ring for his fighter. Arum won't even list him as an option.

At the moment, Pacquiao's options are Amir Khan, Lucas Matthysse, Kell Brook and Terence Crawford. Pacquiao is coming back in late February or early April.

Arum feels Garcia (31-0, 18KOs) was very fortunate to win several decisions, including the bout with Maurcio Herrera last year in Puerto Rico, and has no business being in a headliner against Pacquiao right now.

Garcia moved up to welterweight last month and stopped Paulie Malignaggi.

"I don't think Danny Garcia is truly a competitive fight with Manny. Garcia had a couple of gift decisions that he didn't deserve, like Herrera and the other fight [with Lamont Peterson]. And I'm not really interested in Garcia," Arum told Fight Hub.

Now, as much as it would be funny to troll about this, Arum is wrong:ufdup:

Danny Garcia isn't an option because he "had a couple of gift decisions that he didn't deserve" and he brings up Herrera & Peterson. Ok. But the options you WILL consider for Pacquiao include 2 guys Garcia beat clearly (Khan & Matthysse) and also have multiple other losses, besides to Garcia, on their records. One guy who hasn't fought anyone besides Shawn Porter and won a close decision over...not a dominant performance. And then we have a 4th guy who hasn't faced an elite fighter above 135 yet.

If Arum is doesn't want to put Pacquiao in the ring with Swift...he needs better excuses. Those excuses were weak as hell:camby:.
I agree you can't use that logic to say it isn't a good fight. All fights aren't the same.

However from my own perspective I haven't been excited for a Garcia-Manny fight. I think it is easy work for Manny. I would rather see Manny-Khan. I think Khan prese m ts more problems and is a tougher matchup.

Matchups make fights, even though Danny deserves a Floyd fight as much as anyone, I don't want to see it. It is 12-0 Floyd, IMO. Now Danny vs. Maidana, Thurman, or Porter would be great fights at 147.

how do you feel about Zachary Ochoa, the kid from Brooklyn with Golden Boy? Know about him?
I like him as a person and I am hoping he does well. I fear for all Golden Boy prospects right now since they will be moved quicker in order to keep business going

Breh, what happened with Amir Imam? Have you heard anything on why he didn't he take the fight against AB for the vacant WBA Junior Welterweight Super Championship?

He's ranked #3 by both the WBA and WBC, so #2 Broner vs #3 Imam seemed logical (being that #1 Benavidez is injured), plus Imam claimed he wanted to fight him:ohhh:

I know once #1 Matthysse beats #2 Postol, #3 Imam moves up to the new #1 contender and mandatory for Matthysse's WBC strap in 2016, but he could've fought Broner on Saturday for the WBA belt.

Was he not offered the fight by the WBA or something?:lupe:
