^^^ So they just gonna throw "The #1 Lightweight In The World" in as a filler, making him the 6th fight of the night on a 10 fight card, and most likely (98% sure) he's gonna be un-televised:francis:

If lucas wins the title I'd say its 100% him Khan and Brook would duck that fade as of right now IMO

brook vs lucas can happen easily.

none of these will be blowout wins in the ww division .....their is not a stand out yet besides pac or old ass jmm who needs to retire.

Berto on Mayweather: He Says He's TBE, I Expected More!

Posted by: Edward Chaykovsky on 9/22/2015 .

By Edward Chaykovsky

Former two-time champion Andre Berto (30-4, 23KOs) says he expected a lot more from Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs) when they fought on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Mayweather took a few more risks but not many. It was billed as the final fight of his career and he announced his retirement following the match.

Because it was pushed as his last fight, and he was such a massive favorite to win, Berto expected him to go for a knockout as he promised in many of the pre-fight interviews.

He felt since Mayweather's fight with Manny Pacquiao was so highly criticized for lacking action, the unbeaten WBC/WBA welterweight champion was going to come prepared to leave boxing by making a statement.

"I was just really surprised, because I thought there would be more action. I thought it was going to be more. At the end of the day, when you're in there and talking that talk, saying this and that, you're TBE [The Best Ever] and your last fight - the last situation that he had [with Manny Pacquiao] was pretty disappointing so I thought he was going to come with it," Berto told Power 105.

"This your last fight, let's give these people something entertaining. I know you don't want to get clipped in the process but let's make it a little bit more exciting."

Berto: I Got A lot More Than $4 Million For Mayweather

Posted by: Edward Chaykovsky on 9/22/2015 .

By Edward Chaykovsky

Former two-time champion Andre Berto (30-4, 23KOs) has denied that his guarantee was only $4 million dollars for the September 12th bout with WBC/WBA welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. (49-0, 26KOs), who won a twelve round unanimous decision at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Berto's purse was reported to the Nevada State Athletic Commission as being a $4 million guarantee. There are often times where the commission received a purse figure that was lower, and sometime significantly lower, than the actual agreed-upon purse.

"That's the thing, they keep talking about it's $4 million [that I was guaranteed]. We got more than $4 [million], so I don't know where they're getting [their information] from. But like I said my guarantee was a lot more than $4 [million]," Berto told Power 105.

Because Mayweather was paid over $30 million for his guarantee, Berto believes Showtime - which handled the pay-per-view - took a loss. He doesn't know for a fact that a loss was taken, but he believes they did.

Mayweather has a six fight deal with Showtime. Insiders speculate that Showtime may have taken losses on the fights with Robert Guerrero, Marcos Maidana and of course Berto. On the other side, the network made a fortune with Mayweather's fights against Saul Alvarez and Manny Pacquiao. Between those two events, they grabbed nearly 6.7 million pay-per-view purchases - more than enough to make that six fight deal a financial success.

"[They] probably [did take a loss]," Berto said. "I mean of course [they took a loss], because they have to pay [Mayweather] so much money. They have to guarantee him a certain amount no matter who he fights. So they took a lot of losses in his past fights, because they had to guarantee him a certain amount."

Floyd just allowed him to receive the biggest amount of money he ever will receive in his life at one time.

At the very least, he can shut up talking about "[They] probably [did take a loss]," Berto said. "I mean of course [they took a loss], because they have to pay [Mayweather] so much money." when HE was the main reason nobody wanted to see the fight & also "I was just really surprised, because I thought there would be more action. I thought it was going to be more." especially when you were in the ring as well and you missed 83% of the punches you threw while Floyd landed 57% of his punches on your face/body while also being the only landing any good shots....including rocking you in the corner with an uppercut.

Just sounds crazy to me breh:manny:

Nah, you right. He sounds like a nikka looking for a moral victory. Floyd stood in the pocket and Berto still couldnt hit him. Made no attempts to go to the body and kept blocking punches with his face. But at the same time, I don't excpect Berto to humble himself especially for a nikka that he doesn't like. I've always had the feeling that Thurman, Porter, and Berto just didn't like Floyd much while everyone else on PBC idolizes him. :yeshrug:

And I wonder if there is some validity to what he said about Showtime's pockets. I've always been critical of them becuz they were tryna sell Floyd fights that jsut weren't worth tryna sell. Canelo and Manny sold themselves. And I always thought the second Chino fight owuld do something but it really didn't.
