Another Gold Medal
Doing all his chat wraps the reason he always gives is that finds Rigo boring. Doesn't take any chances in the ring

:francis: And this is whom you nikkas put your faith in :francis:

His last few fights have been exciting :camby: or should I say the type of exciting this flabby fukk is into. It really sucks this that dude is known as the top boxing media guy running around saying shyt like this. I'm patiently waiting for a boxer with a few screws loose to split his wig for talking reckless. :ohlawd:

Thanks for writing in. We will agree and disagree. First off I think Mayweather beat Pacquiao 116-112, which is 8 rounds to 4. The fight wasn’t a draw. What I don’t understand is why people are so critical of the fight. After watching Mayweather vs Berto I think we can conclude that Mayweather vs Pacquiao was contested on a higher level. We will agree on punch stat statistics. They are not an exact science. A person is calculating these results. I do believe they are about 90% correct. Where we will also agree big time is the 5 judges. I have always believed it is more difficult to corrupt larger numbers of people….Jury vs Judge….. I think 5 judges at ringside is an excellent idea. I think that needs to be implemented as soon as possible.I also believe types of gloves should be put in contracts and handed in to the commission weeks before the fight. The Mayweather vs Maidana controversy should never happen where one fighter dictates to another fighter what gloves he can wear at the 12th hour. That should be decided beforehand so all parties can accustomed to their agreed upon gloves.Testing….I firmly believe all fighters ranked in the top 15 should be entered in a pool of random testing. Period. That way fighters can be tested randomly when they don’t have fights on the books. As long as fighters "only" get tested after a fight is announced, the window for PED use is too easy to manipulate.

I like Matthysse over Postol in an extremely close fight. Not sure if Postol has enough pop to keep Lucas off but Matthysse doesn’t cut the ring off so Postol should be able to win rounds.Broner over Allakhverdiev. Man if you look at Broner’s career it’s the tale of two stories. Pre Malignaggi and Post Malignaggi. After Broner struggled against Paulie he was never a dominant fighter again. I don’t think he will dominate Allakhverdiev but I do think he beats him.Alexander tough but clean decision over Martinez. But this should be a good fight. Alexander gets hit a little bit.Fonfara over Cleverly. Fonfara is riding high, Cleverly is not. I also believe Cleverly will struggle to make 175.GGG should stop David Lemieux. Lemiuex is an improved fighter and I am really impressed with his newfound stamina and poise. He seems to be a different fighter than the one who lost to Rubio and Alcine but GGG is the truth in my opinion and he should wear down Lemiuex in a classic shootout. Gerald McClellan vs Julian Jackson type of shootout.I can’t get it out of my head that Fury was dropped by Steve Cunningham who is not a big puncher. But Wlad may get spooked by the insanely confident Fury. I am reserving my pick on this one. I’ve always believed you can mentally rattle Wlad.Brook! I’m taking Brandon Rios on the upset. I see something in Bradley’s punch delivery that can be exploited. Rios may act immature out of the ring. But he’s a man’s man in the ring. His inside game is A+ and his left uppercut is subtle but brutal. My gut tells me Rios clips Timmy. The way Cotto has been looking lately has led me to openly say that Manny Pacquiao needs to hire his S&C coach Gavin McMillan. This may be one of the best modern career turnaround I have seen. In 2009 Cotto looked done. In 2012 he looked even worse. Now he’s the lineal middleweight champion of the world and everything he hits he destroys. I’ve never seen this before from an ex 140 pounder. That being said I’m taking Canelo. I just think he can take more punishment than Cotto and the fight will be a high contact, highly skilled shootout. But this is truly a 50/50 fight considering how Cotto has looked lately and it’s just not the opponents. Cotto is delivering big time.

Ibeabuchi and Valero are the poster boys of the last 20 years. I would add Franciso Bojado, Bernard Super Bad Mayes and Kelly Pavlik. Pavlik was pretty much done a stop fighter at 28 years old. His drinking, sour attitude towards the system and weight problems really derailed a good run he had. Pavlik will forever be haunted by what ifs.Mayes had a terrible drinking problem but he was a talented a guy there was in the 80s and the 80s is the 2nd most talented decades ever. Mayes was special. When I saw Francisco Bojado at 8-0 I couldn’t believe how good he was. He was literally changing speeds of his punches mid stream. That kid looked like he would be better than Cotto his contemporary and De La Hoya whom he was most often compared to at the time. I still can’t believe he didn’t pan out. Bojado is the reason why now I don’t anoint prospects. He was the best can’t miss guy I have seen in the last 15 years and he still didn’t turn out.

Best records let’s see. Ray Robinson going 128-1 at his peak is simply amazing. In those times it was common to have double digit losses and Robinson compiled that record over 11 years a as a pro. Defeating a HOF in roughly 15 fights to maintain the record.Joe Louis making 25 successful title defenses. The great part about the record is Louis didn’t make one defense for about 4 years of his reign because of WWII. Think about that. The record could be well over 40. It’s probably the best record ever considering….Muhammad Ali defeating 4 Olympic gold Medalist as pros. Anybody that can win a Gold Medal can really fight. Especially in the no headgear era. Ali defeated Floyd Patterson, Joe Frazier, George Foreman and Leon Spinks. I don’t believe any other fighter has ever done that. There are a whole slew of records I’m impressed with. But those 3 stand out to me.Mental Toughness. Floyd Mayweather. No matter what is going on in his life, he rarely has a bad night. Muhammad Ali. No need to go into his resume. Ray Leonard 3 ½ years off, no tune ups, takes on #1 p4p guy in the world at a weight he’s never fought before. You have to be insane to do that. Manny Pacquiao. Gets kod twice early in his career. Regroups jumps two weight divisions and is underdog in first 3 title tries and gets a ko each time to make history. Most of the greats pre 1980 are extremely mentally tough because they had no boxrec, no youtube to study opponent, no favorable matchmaking. They often loss early and came back to have great careers. It’s really an injustice to name just 4.I don’t know about gyms in Cleveland but I do know Ohio produces some really good fighters. I believe Ohio, Michigan, California and PA produce the best fighter in the world.

true, but im skeptical of him cause he dont love it all the way.
He has ++ power for every weight class he's been in and ++ skills. Only thing he doesn't have that's elite is his chin and defense. His punches are so short and controlled, most of the time they'd come back quick enough. But every time he went up in weight he got caught so IDK. Robert doesn't train much defense. But Mikey's jab footwork combo punching weight distribution offensive COG 1-2-3 and 1-2-2-1 are all top notch.

The undercard for the huge fight between middleweight champion Miguel Cotto and Canelo Alvarez on Nov. 21 (HBO pay-per-view) at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas has not yet been finalized, but it's getting there.

Roc Nation Sports, Cotto's promoter, continues to work on hammering out a deal that would see super middleweight champion Andre Ward (28-0, 15 KOs) appear in the co-feature in a light heavyweight fight. If the deal is finalized, it will mark the start of a three-fight contract between Ward and HBO.

Two other world title bouts are agreed to for the undercard. According to Golden Boy, Alvarez's promoter and co-promoter of the card, contracts have been sent out and Golden Boy is waiting for them to be signed and returned before the fights can be officially announced.
