I hope this rumor is false. SOG in no shape/fashion/form will help out the PPV sales of this fight...he should know that

Ward needs to recognize that being the featured bout on the Cotto/Canelo undercard and looking impressive will do more to enhance his profile and make it easier for him to headline his own PPV down the road.

I agree. People are ready to wash their hands of him. He's dealing with people that don't NEED that headache.

I get the GGG talk continuing though. GGG is the closest cash cow, they got assurances from Loeffler last year, HBO is pushing for it, and Cotto isn't fighting GGG unless and until they work some deal out with Ward getting GGG if he wins.

And he has the Kovalev fight in his back pocket. HBO is dying for that on PPV. I was told that would be his 4th fight, with GGG hopefully being the 3rd.

This other shyt is dumb though. Being on the undercard is a no brainer. It's a chance to catapult him to PPV headliner status and turn the talk from Ward the big mouth to Ward the P4P King. He is no position to ask for more $ AND a soft touch.
