I've thought this, but never went back and rewatched the footage on it.

I'd hope Virgil Hunter (or :soggang:smile: passed that info along to Berto, so that he could utilize it. Even though he lost almost every round, I remember on the Floyd vs Maidana undercard, Carlos Molina was also killing AB with that same punch as well over & over again (and that was the last fight AB ever used the shoulder roll exclusively in:heh:)

Could you imagine going into a boxing gym throwing that punch nikkas will give you that sidewalk knuckle @SkiHatDaGawd push up work :francis: and here we have the #1 p4p fighter almost getting sent to the bushes by that punch on two occasions :russ:

It seems to only work on the shoulder roll, as you noted:heh:

Try that against someone who's not "rolling" and you liable to get countered with a hook to the kidney like 50 Cent caught that guy in the "21 Questions" video:heh:

This is how the Keith Thurman/Virgil Hunter beef started:

Virgil Hunter Questions Keith Thurman’s Chin

At the post-fight press conference for Amir Khan‘s 12-round unanimous decision win over Chris Algieri, Virgil Hunter had some choice words to say about Keith Thurman.

“Styles make matches, you know, I know Keith is a very vocal young man and is confident of his abilities. But, if I have to be honest, Keith has stepped up a little bit himself and you don’t see the knockouts as you used to see,” said Hunter.

Thurman, 26, has not scored a knockout since 2014. However, Thurman has been out with a shoulder injury for much of the time since then.

Also, Thurman’s last two fights were against iron-chinned opponents who had never been stopped. However, according to Thurman, that’s just what happens when you step up in competition.

“When you start going up in the A-leagues, they don’t come as easily,” continued Hunter.

Then, after mentioning “the media’s” characterization of Khan as a fighter with a bad chin, Hunter gave a cryptic warning about Thurman’s chin.

“There are things I know about Keith Thurman that I won’t say, but you better watch his chin too,” said Hunter. “I know him way back from the amateurs and I could tell you some things that would shock you.”

What Hunter has seen, we may only guess, but he nevertheless believes that the fight will materialize sometime in the future.

It is only fair, according to Hunter, that fighters be able to carve out their own paths before taking on big fights, such as a potential Thurman-Khan fight.

Thurman: I'll Knock Amir Khan and Virgil Hunter Out!
Posted by: Edward Chaykovsky on 6/30/2015 .

By Edward Chaykovsky

According to WBA 'regular' welterweight champion Keith Thurman (25-0, 21KOs), there is no way that Amir Khan deserves the right to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the fall.

Khan is pushing hard to get Mayweather on September 12th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Thurman, and IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook, are also attempting to get Mayweather on the date. Thurman has no problem with Brook getting the call, but he doesn't like the idea of Khan gaining that opportunity.

He says Khan has not done enough as a welterweight to earn that type of opportunity.
Thurman also hit back at Khan's trainer, Virgil Hunter, who recently questioned the chin resistance of the dangerous puncher.

"I think [Khan] is better offer trying to get a Danny Garcia rematch or something like that. He didn't talk about me after the [Chris Algieri] fight on television. He talked about Floyd," Thurman said.

"But then when one of you guys came and asked him some more questions, then he decided to say my name out of his mouth - and then for some reason his coach wanted to talk junk too. I don't know what that's about because Virgil can't throw punches for Amir, he can' take punches for Amir - and if I have to I'll knock both of them out."

"He does not deserve his ranking in the welterweight division. What top welterweight has Amir Khan beat?"

Thurman is back on August 1st in Florida, when he takes on Luis Collazo - who Khan dominated last May in Las Vegas

Thurman: I'll Knock Amir Khan and Virgil Hunter Out!

Now, Keith Thurman responds back to Virgil Hunter with a threat of violence again brehs:snoop:

This is sure to get him over with the media/casuals :francis:

I rewatched Floyd/Maidana 1 & 2 last night and figured I drop some tidbits to see what the brehs think...... that looping right that comes over the top is ether for shoulder roll defense he landed it all night on AB and he landed it a good amount of times in the first Floyd fight.

Yep. The way he was cutting off the ring on AB was good too.

Sam Peter was effective against Toney with that same punch too. I know we see that punch and go " :scusthov: that shyt is a bolo" but that's exactly why its effective it's not a standard punch. The 2nd punch that Mosley threw that almost dropped Floyd was the same exact punch. Anyway Floyd used his legs more won the fight etc.

So I'm watching the 2nd fight and Maidana still using the same gameplan for the first two rounds. Now we get to the third and I'm noticing Maidana is throwing straighter punches :jbhmm: then the end of the third comes and Floyd gets hit with some shyt that I would prob still be asleep from :dame:

Robert Garcia's plan was to make Floyd think it was going to be another brawl tighten the offense up and hit him with some shyt his ancestors would feel and he would not be expecting. That shyt was the perfect gameplan, it didn't work out and I think Floyd eating that shot took away some of Maidana's will but had Floyd's chin not been A+:ufdup:

going to post some gifs when I get home to to further make my point but boxing is the GOAT sport nothing like re watching some shyt and catching something you didn't the first time. :ohlawd:

I've thought this, but never went back and rewatched the footage on it.

They shoulda stuck to my gloves or no fight. Mayweather would still be in Bolivia being photographed like Tupac if he had his gloves with that punch.
