Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports is finally set to put on its second boxing card.

The company promoted its first show, called “throne boxing,” on Jan. 17 at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York in the first of a three-fight time-buy deal it made with Fox Sports 1.

No. 2 will take place on April 17 (Fox Sports 1, 10 p.m. ET) at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut, Roc Nation Sports announced on Tuesday.

The card will be headlined by a 12-round cruiserweight bout between Russia’s Murat Gassiev (20-0, 13 KOs) and Felix Cora Jr. (25-6-2, 14 KOs) of Galveston, Texas.

In the scheduled eight-round co-feature, Washington, D.C., welterweight Dusty Hernandez-Harrison (25-0, 13 KOs), who won the main event on the January card, will face an opponent to be determined. The card will also feature super middleweight prospect Junior Younan (6-0, 5 KOs), of Brooklyn, New York, and Dominican junior welterweight prospect Wellington Romero (5-0-1, 3 KOs) in six-round bouts against opponents to be named.

Roc Nation Sports is close to announcing deals for a monthly series on Fox Sports 1 beyond its initial three-show start as well as a series of cards on BET.

What Roc Nation needs to understand is that it can take a good 10-15 years before they become a real player. They'll be out by then due to lack of patience. There are no shortcuts in boxing. Roc Nation had some corporate white looking mufukka who has probably never stepped in a boxing gym in his life.

It took Uncle Al 15 years to get here with his first client being the late Vernon Forest. Years of networking & learning his craft. Minorities are gonna gravitate towards Al. because he can relate to them in ways a white man never could & these white men can't stand it. Look at his right hand man Sam Watson. He's relatable to the fighters. The nygga talks like he's in the barber shop talking that shyt. Fighters can relate to that. Sam goes to the gyms & makes sure the fighters are good. There's a certain gym camaraderie that these Roc Nation clowns don't understand. I bet Jay has never made a visit to a gym to watch his roster. I don't even know why Roc Nation is even doing this shyt.

At least 50 realized he had to slow down & hes taking his time. He's actually shown me more as far as wanting to be successful. Sure some things haven't worked out, but he built his gym & regularly stops by to support his fighters.
