Not mention Gavin Rees was 37-1 coming into the bout, was ranked as the #1 Lightweight by the WBC/ranked #2 Lightweight by the WBA/ranked #5 Lightweight by the WBO/ranked #6 Lightweight by RING Magazine.....and was the former WBA Light Welterweight Champion
But let these haters revise history and tell it, he was a bum
#BandCamp
HBO banned AL Haymon after that fight...that's how trash the matchup was
Please provide your source saying that Adrien Broner vs Gavin Rees was the reason Al Haymon was banned from HBO
Like I said, and as the facts show, Gavin Rees aka Hornswoggle >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Rod Salka aka Rod Salka....no funny name needed. His name alone, as well as that "fight" is a punchline
#BandCamp
Did I say Broner/Rees was the sole reason or did I say After that fight HBO banned Al Haymon??
We goin act like after Demarco goin to Rees HBO wasn't pissed off...we goin act like HBO wasn't throwing shade during the fight...talk about revisionist history
"Gavin Rees was one of the fighters on the short list of approved opponents by HBO," Schaefer said.

You arguing with yourself bout Salka vs Rees nikka sounding like Black_Arum.. Gavin Rees was a great win

So with this US and cuba news, how do you guys think this will effect boxing?
You said this:
"HBO banned AL Haymon after that fight...that's how trash the matchup was
Basically, you related the two by saying BECAUSE of the fight, that's why Haymon was banned...or it wouldnt have been no point for you to bring it up
I called you out on it to provide receipts, and of course....you cant
Revise this:
So, HBO approved him as an opponent huh?
This is too easy
Of course Im arguing with myself....aint no way you can say shyt about anyone's opponent, especially when the opponent was a former Champion, was ranked highly by the WBC (#1), WBA (#2), WBO (#5), and RING (#6), while your dude just fought the number #12454157561256 ranked 130lber
You cant say nothing about nobody's opponents.....ever
Once again, since #BandCamp can provide receipts:
Bu-bu-but, HBO didnt want this matchup tho
#BandCamp
All you your feelings over Gavin Rees :guwoplol:
You want Receipts nikka?? Broner vs Rees had 80-1 odds :88:
http://www.boxingnews24.com/2013/02/rees-unhappy-with-being-an-80-1-underdog-against-broner/
Like I said its a FACT Rees was a garbage fight N its a FACT HBO was pissed at Haymon for giving them 80-1 odd fights N its a FACT after that trash 80-1 fight HBO banned Haymon
Try to convince nikkas an 80-1 odd fight was a good match up brehs
Bu bu but revisionist haters Bu bu bu but Rod Salka
Too damn easy :brawklol:
I personally agree with the 80-1 odds 100% because I see Rees as having no chance of winning this fight other than by an injury for Broner or maybe a lucky punch. Unfortunately for Rees, I just don’t see any of those things happening on February 16th.
?
Anybody that night would've had crazy odds against the young phenom who came off a DOMINATING performance over the former #1 ranked Lightweight in the world in his previous fight
AB was ranked #6 Pound 4 Pound going into that fight and was 25-0 with 21 KOs....thought to be the next SUPERSTAR in Boxing. Ricky Burns would've been at least 10-1 odds in the fight.
At the end of the day though, you're judging fights off a gambling odds?
That's what you resort to now?
Bottomline, Gavin Rees was 37-1 coming into the bout, was ranked as the #1 Lightweight by the WBC/ranked #2 Lightweight by the WBA/ranked #5 Lightweight by the WBO/ranked #6 Lightweight by RING Magazine.....and was the former WBA Light Welterweight Champion Of The World. The odds say more about how GREAT Adrien Broner was thought of, then anything in relation to Gavin Rees. From that article you just posted:
Like I said, it speaks more to the greatness of Adrien Broner than anything that had to do with Gavin Rees.
At the end of the day though, he was approved by HBO as an opponent and you show "receipts" of gambling odds as YOUR proof How much lower can #swiftset go? First.....You drag the #1197979746197197590690576 Lightweight up 2 divisions in a catchweight, because you couldnt handle someone just throwing a simple jab for 12 rounds, and now you're using gambling odds to decide the status of a fighter
Any other fight that has 80-1 odds N it gets shytted on N trashed.. we both know that N you're better then that breh
80-1 odds fights are fukking trash no matter who is involved ain't no revisionist history...errybody knew it was shyt before N after
Bu bu bu but Rod Salka
At the Bovada online sports book, Garcia is a minus-5000 favorite. That means a bettor who wants to make a profit of $100 would need to wager $5,000

I've never judged a fight by "odds" and I dont know anyone else who does
But I never used that as a reason to shyt on that fight....I used my boxing common sense.
It was simple, Salka was ranked #77 at 135....and was dragged up to a 142 catchweight with the 140 RING Champion. Horrible fight and Horrible matchup. You cannot say the same as a fan of boxing for AB vs Gavin Rees...especially when Ricky Burns turned down the fight initially and Gavin Rees was the next best opponent available, approved by HBO, and was ranked highly by WBC, WBA, and WBO. Also ranked #6 by RING, was a former WBA Champion at 140, and had only 1 loss in 39 career fights.
His rankings and resume didnt lie....so why hate on AB for destroying him? You called him Hornswoggle, which is cool, but Hornswoggle was 50x the fighter Rod Salka is. That's all.
