I really don't wanna continue this Lara/Nelo shyt, Some of you nikkas making me laugh with the Lara comments. It seems like you're holding it against him, for not going toe to toe with Canelo. Which would have gotten him beat up and probably KO'ed. Now why the hell should he do that? He fought his style of fighting which gave him the highest probability of winning. And did it from start to finish. And he had Canelo for the most part swinging for air like a kid at the batting cages. Plus stop acting like he didn't get touched up in the face. fukk outta here with that bullshyt you nikkas be spewing.

I said it before, UI'll say it again: You fight to your strengths. If you don't, then you're a fukking moron

There is a difference between sticking and moving and running. Lara ran in that fight.
And sometimes you need to look at the situation that is presented to you and make a decision. Lara was given the opportunity, primarily off of the strength of his performance against Angulo, to cement himself as a marketable star in boxing. Now to do that doesn't mean he would have had to step into a phone booth with Canelo and just throw caution to the wind but the way Lara fought was him making the decision that he did not want to risk anything to advance his career to the next level. Anyone with a brain in their head knew damn well that the way Lara fought was not going to win him that fight on the scorecards.
So my issue with Lara was that when presented with his shot at the brass ring he squandered it.
And that is the last thing I have to say about Lara and that fight because he is a non-entity in the sport.

Dan Rafael chat wrap 11/7:

- Virtually no chance of Hopkins vs. Ward happening.
- Prefers Peterson as Garcia's next opponent.
- Not many choices for Floyd's next fight. Best available probably are: winner of Khan-Alexander, Thurman, Danny Garcia.
- Picking Hopkins via decision and Abregu by mid round KO.
- Hopkins does not let people forget if they picked Pavlik to beat him.
- Thinks that Hopkins-Kovalev is the most anticipated fight of 2014.
- Disagrees with race being the main reason why Hopkins isnt more popular.
- No whispers ever of B Hop using PED's.
- If Kovalev wins he really does not have any good immediate opponents.
- Promoters have said they expect a near sell out for B Hop vs. Kovalev.
- No rematch clause for BHop vs. Kovalev.
- Picking Adamek to beat Szpilka.
- Believes Cotto vs. Canelo happens May 2 and Mayweather will not fight in May.
- Predicts that Cotto-Canelo wont reach 1 million PPV buys.
- Thinks Algieri-Pacquaio does less than 600k PPV buys.
- Pavlik is not a HOF'er.
- Looking forward to Fury-Chisora.
- Expects Ward, JCC, and Mikey Garcia to all fight next year.
- One of his current most desired fights would be Matthysse-Maidana.
- ESPN is not doing the Klitschko-Pulev fight. It will have US coverage, but not sure exactly who, suspects HBO.

Boxer Mikey Garcia has agreed to dismiss three of his causes of action against promoter Top Rank. The stipulation to dismiss his claims avoids a summary judgment motion brought by his promoter in a dispute over his fight contract.

Garcia’s attorneys and Top Rank attorneys stipulated to dismissal of 3 claims that were at issue in Top Rank’s motion filed last month. The dismissed claims related to issues that Garcia alleged were in violation of California law. The case of removed (i.e., transferred) out of state court and sent to federal court in Nevada.

Garcia still has a claim under the Muhammad Ali Act pending.
