Shannon Briggs already fought 5 times this year & has another big challenge this Saturday. He's facing the always tough Richard Carmack. Although Richard has lost his last 5 fights, beating a guy of this caliber should get Shannon that fight he deserves against Wladimir. He's currently #7 in the WBA, but this should jump "The Cannon" as Wlad's mandatory challenger. Shannon has masterfully navigated through the rankings this year just on sheer activity & his ability to promote himself. "Where you go, I go champ" has spread through the boxing community. & he has pawg.

I usually don't buy into a lot of the conspiracies and think fixed fights probably happen less than some around here, but that fight had me immediately .
Banks was dominating him and was knocking him around, then all of a sudden he goes into a shell and lets Mitchell survive.

Banks said that he broke/hurt both his hands in that fight and that was what stopped him from opening up and finishing Seth. This was some interview he did for a boxing site. I think it was fight hype, but I'm not 100 percent sure.

I remember seeing that now that you jogged my memory. I do remember thinking that even if he broke both hands he should've shadow boxed Mitchell and still one. Might explain why he completely shut it down. It was disappointing, because ANY activity would have given him the win.
