Jermain looked like dookie out there imo. Couldn't put away a clearly hobbled fighter and was gassed as usual in the later rounds. This changes nothing. Jermain will lose his next fight provided fights an at least solid MW who doesn't rip his knee up during he fight.

Bottom line is nobody has made ever Soliman look that bad, and it was Taylor who caused the injury, fall back

I'm so glad my nikka Jermain Taylor won last night. #BadIntentions :blessed:Big fan of dude and it never seems like he gets any credit for anything so it was good to see him finally shine again.

I thought the fight was a toss up from the minute it was signed. Even though he's beyond past it, I thought he looked pretty decent under the circumstances. His jab was looking crisp. He took a few good shots and never seemed bothered. Even though he gassed a lil towards the end, it wasn't the big drop off like how it used to be. Taylor doesn't seem to fight as jittery as before so that could be why. He seems more calm, even when he was losing a couple rounds. Nobody ever looks spectacular against Soliman anyways. All in all it was a solid performance. I mean it was better than we expected from a guy that had a brain bleed that busts his guns, and seems like he's cracked out.

A prime Taylor would be one of the few nikkas out there that would fight GGG with no fukks given, but at this stage :whoa: keep him away from that nikka.

Dirrell looked decent too. He was catching some work until he finally hit that home run punch.

If GGG was getting his ass whooped by Ouma and Stevens, why the fukk Can't Taylor do the same............:patrice:

I'm not quite believing GGG...................Until he gets s legit body, he doesn't belong in the champioship conversation winning theoretical matches; and Rubio aint no legit body at this point..................

I think a prime Taylor with Pat Burns in his corner could outbox GGG and hang on late to win a competitive decision.

But this version of Taylor isn't durable enough to withstand those Golovkin punches that will be coming back.

Stevens landed a few good shots, but he got his ass kicked by GGG something serious. He was never in that fight at all breh.

Ouma was winning some rounds an outboxing GGG in spots, but he wasn't whupping anybody's ass in that fight.

You remember how everybody thought Morales was crazy and going to get killed for fighting Chino a few years back.

Well, take that vibe and multiply it by 5x and you'll get the atmosphere for the lead up to a Taylor/GGG fight if it were to happen now. People would fear for Jermain's life.

Id fear for his life far more vs a elite fighter like Cotto.......

Cotto ain't physically strong enough for Jermain Taylor.

He's quicker (because he's so much smaller) and isn't as past it, but that's about it.

Hell, if Taylor and Cotto were to fight, I'd pick Taylor to win that shyt.

You need constant activity to beat Cotto; and even thats hard these days he mastered keeping them hands high and getting low, even Floyd really couldn't tag him cleanly til the final round and Floyd was throwing punches/combo's out his ass that fight....But the Constant activity is one of the main things that troubles him, Margarito, Manny, Mayweather and Trout just simply kept punching and none of those fighters come out with a easy night and unscathed ..........

Cotto is strong as fukk to instantly put Sergio on Jelly legs with like shot number 1; Mayweather has said time and time again how physically strong and hard Cotto hits..........

Taylor simply doesn't have the activity to trouble Cotto

The ONLY one of those 4 fighters that didnt have an easy night with Cotto was Mayweather.

Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao, and Austin Trout all beat his ass easy

Sergio was too ring rusty an injured for me to really gauge Cotto's power like that and Delvin Rodriguez was too much of a step down in competition as well.

That last person Cotto fought that was in their prime and with decent skills and not bring rusty or injured was Trout.

and Trout beat his ass and the shots he did take from Cotto didn't do much.

Margarito was getting a boxing lesson for 80% of the fight before the plaster dried

Manny stumbled to the finish line got a frivolous stoppage, eardrum busted and sent to the hospital post match

Mayweather was forced to fight Cotto's fight the whole night due to physically imposing Cotto was and how hard hard he hit

And Trout was buzzed a few times along the way, Cotto simply couldnt find his right hand that night to finish him off, a 8-4/7-5 match no domination
