Another Gold Medal
I had that problem with this guy I sparred a few times, what I did was kept my guard high and tight, leaned slighly to his elbow side then in one fluid motion gave the forearm/elbow a push with my off hand, dipped and dug a half hook half uppercut to the floating rib.

if you dont mind getting dirty you could trap the extended glove and throw an uppercut to elbow or if you want to be a little nicer the tricep/bicep or the arm pit itself

+ rep I don't mind getting dirty :shaq:

this ways years ago but I'll keep that in mind thanks breh

What you think about Thurman vs Ortiz?

Thurman needs SOMEBODY with a name on his resume:manny:

He cant go forever with Julio Diaz, Diego Chaves, and Jesus Soto-Karass as his best victories

How does this make any sense for Ortiz?

Ortiz has lost 3 times in a row. For each loss, he needs to face a bum. I'd recommend that he spends about a year getting his together & try to get 3 fights in.

He's done. The only fight he had where he wasn't gonna be denied was the Berto fight. If he had that mentality every single fight, he would have been a problem.

You said yourself that Ortiz is "done" right? Well then it doesnt have to make sense for him. It's about Keith Thurman getting a recognizable name on his resume for a chance and Ortiz can be that for him.

Victor Ortiz is now gate keeper status, currently, and it's time for him to be feed to the young wolves coming up

nikkas still checking for Victor Ortiz is the funniest shyt I've read all day :mjlol:

Breh, do you like anybody else besides Manny Pacquiao or whoever you think can beat Floyd?:dwillhuh:

How can a boxing fan NOT check for Victor Ortiz when he was a talented fighter who just couldnt put it all together. It's not like he was a scrub with no skill or he was involved in boring boxing matches or something.

Victor Ortiz vs Andre Berto 2 or Victor Ortiz vs Brandon Rios are two fights that boxing fans still wanna see happen regardless of what you're talking about breh

That's actually not a bad idea

Zab Judah vs Victor Ortiz :ohhh:

That would be a good match, but I'd rather see Danny Garcia vs Victor Ortiz at 147 in Danny's 1st fight at the weight class. PR vs Mexico:ohlawd:

Plus, Zab Judah needs to be kept for Terence Crawford's debut at 140.

Judah vs Ortiz is a "loser leaves boxing match":mjlol:

It doesn't work that way. You don't bring in a very marketable guy like Ortiz just to be an opponent. You build him up.

Believe me, I get what your saying, but what your saying isn't gonna happen.

Yeah I believe he's done at the top level, but if I had him as a fighter, I'd try to whatever I can to get him to succeed. He has the style, the power, & he's a guy that can sell tickets.

I dont think it's gonna happen either, but they need to feed Ortiz some bums and then feed him to Thurman.

Im basically trying to see what the hell Thurman can do to get some recognition and I think him beating Ortiz is bigger to the casuals (Ortiz been in movies, Dancing with the Stars, and Floyd) than him beating Devon Alexander or Robert Guerrero (who are both still kinda low profile fighters to the masses)....plus he'd be an easier matchup for Thurman than Alexander or Guerrero would (both of them have good chins while Ortiz can be dropped multiple times)

And I wasn't gonna say anything, but you sound real Haymonesque talking about Thurman needing Ortiz as a name on his resume :mjpls:

Victor Ortiz brings all the casuals to the yard, he'd give Thurman that fanbase/popularity increase he's missing.

Haymon is an #OhioPlaya....it's in our blood:sas2:

Alexander and Guerrero can be trouble for Keith Thurman. Ortiz is low risk-high reward compared to those 2:youngsabo:

If he can't attract a name, fukk them & do his own thing. Start collecting titles. He's #1 for the WBA title. Either Mayweather can fight him or drop the title.

Guys I believe he can realistically get are Alexander & Porter. Despite the lost, Porter has made a decent name for himself. It's not like he's in position to be too picky. Alexander fights everyone.

I don't think he should waste any energy focusing on guys like Khan, Guerrero, etc who are guys that are extremely selective about their opponent. Just skips the diva's & target guys you can realistically get.
