what was wrong with picking Peterson in the first fight? lots of people did. dont try and indict me for NOT being a Matthysse dikkrider. but did I not quickly redeem that with the Swift pick?

That's true. It was a close fight to pick. I don't think you had to be a dikk rider to pick LM though. I picked LM and thought it would have been a competitive distance fight. The blow out surprised everybody.

I think when you had a decent amount of experts picking Cleverly to beat Kovalev was worse actually. Cleverly never showed me anything that would make me think he'd beat a guy like the Krusher. At least we've seen Peterson fight and be competitive with world class fighters before.

The only difference is Maidana has tested his skill against world class opponents, but at the core he's nothing special breh. Just ask Alexander, Kotelnik, and Khan

It doesnt matter, because if he washes Molina in 6 or less rounds, it's gonna be "well, he was supposed to do that", "im not impressed", "broner's a bum"....even though Molina went 10 with Khan.


If the fight goes like Matthysse vs Molina, and he wins, it's gonna be "im not impressed", "He's done", "He aint shyt". He aint gonna get the props Matthysse got



At the end of the day, he is growing and humbling up a bit to the point that he KNOWS now to not underestimate any boxer, because anyone can beat anyone in the ring. He didnt act like that before and thought, or came across as, he could never be beaten and it was ridiculous to even imagine him losing

ppl were saying floyd was ducking and scared beforehand
a lesser man woulda folded during that round 2
it showed a lot about floyd that he got it threw, took offensive to getting hit, and den wiped out mosley the rest of the way

I have no problem with that...but personally, when I looked at the replay, the punch looked a lot worse live than it was. the Corley fight resembles it because Corley buzzed Floyd in the 3rd round then hurt him bad in the 4th. the Corley punch was worse because if you notice....about 10 seconds or so after the Mosley shot, Floyd was right back on offense aggressively. he went straight defensive on Corley for at least 30 seconds before he decided to move forward with aggressive offense again.

also, in both of these fights, Floyd was more aggressive coming forward than he usually is.

I didnt expect Corley to beat Floyd...but I honestly gave Shane about as much of a chance too. I didnt see why people thought Shane was going to give him so much trouble. So thats the reason I guess I dont rank it as high. I thought the Margarito win was great but overstated.

the Mosley fight was good, but basically after that one shot, it was typical Floyd shutout.

Peterson is usually pretty durable, so I thought he'd hang tough for a while. I mean if you would have told me John Molina would give the Machine a tougher fight than Peterson I'd prolly laugh in your face. Boxing is truly the most unpredictable sport.

I was just bussin up @mr. smoke weed lol. I think it was pretty even for those who were picking. unlike the Swift fight. people were saying Danny was shook and I think he was at least a 2-1 underdog if not more. you had to have balls to boldly state that Swift was gonna win. now that really shut people up for a while. I dont see a problem with picking Peterson now. LM has looked less dominant, Peterson had a good fight with Jean to help with confidence, and this time you would think they would have a better game plan and not fight so stupid. Peterson is a better fighter than Molina. If he can make the adjustments he could pull it off. Of course it wont be easy given that Peterson is not a big puncher and his chin isnt the best.

Molina isnt considered a good fighter, so if AB walks through him....he's not gonna get any props. You know that.


If AB struggles with Molina (ie Matthysse/Molina), he's gonna catch all types of shade....even if he eventually KOs him in the later rounds.
