Dan Rafael chat wrap 4/25:

- Santa Cruz potential opponents: Quigg or Frampton
- Pacquiao Fall fight most likely Alvarado-Marquez winner
- No Kovalev opponent updates. Would like a fight late summer.
- Arum says he and Manny have an "understanding" on renewing his contract. It would be a 5 fight extension: one this fall and 2 in 2015 and 2 in 2016. Options for fights to take place in China.
- If Lara beats Canelo, he believes a Lara-Mayweather fall fight is very unlikely.
- Interesting aspect of the purse bid for Porter-Brook is whether the fight will take place in the US or UK.
- He asked Schaefer if Russell would take the Lomachenko fight and he said he would.
- June 21 potentially could be a triple header for Showtime with Guerrero's return, Russell-Lomachenko, and Abner Mares.
- Floyd Mayweather once got in Sugar Ray Leonard's face regarding his loss to Roberto Duran.
- Mayweather-Maidana PPV prediction....under 1 million buys.

It's like they think they gotta sacrifice Pac
i dont think this is a sacrifice or showcase fight for canelo at all. think about it on a business level in the sense as though you were standing to gain or lose hundreds of millions of your own dollars. canelo has no mega ppv options going forward at 154 and canelo already fought mayweather. the two biggest ppv fights in the sport are pacquiao vs canelo and pacquiao vs mayweather. so in what way can this be considered a showcase fight for canelo? if anything it must be considered a showcase fight for pacquiao because if pacquiao wins and wins in an impressive way the sleeping giant of pacquiao vs mayweather reawakens again. if canelo wins, simply put, it doesnt. canelo already fought mayweather and has no mega ppv opponents on the horizon. on a just a business level, which fighter is A side here and which fighter is B side?

santa cruz vs either of those two is cool with me :obama:
:snoop: at that round robin shyt with pac....please let pac walk away from arum and do what cotto has been doing at the end of this year
for Lara to get a Floyd fight...he's gonna have to dominate Canelo and have this shyt end with a KO
if gary russ does take that 40% then i want him to beat the shyt out of lomachenko
not surprising floyd-maidana ppv could be under a milly, the card really isn't shyt

You must have missed the part where I said Canelo can target the winner of Cotto/Martinez.

I already explained how dude had all the previous advantages in my earlier posts. Yeah they'll have him try to come down to 150 or some shyt, but it's not really worth it if dude couldn't even make 154 for his last fight.

We'll just have to agree to disagree though. I just think there's better fights that can be made between Manny/GB than a Canelo fight.
