I think it looks foolish for Canelo to "regain" the title he lost to Floyd.........by beating someone else


I think it's an honorable move imo. If you want the WBA 154 belt, you should have to beat Floyd for it

Canelo was certainly honorable in defeat, clearly looking disappointed in the judges scoring and admitting he lost. I still believe all parties would like Canelo to build himself up as the legitimate 154 lb champion (not named Floyd) and challenge Floyd again.

Just curious what others thought...as Canelo certainly has had stamina issues, and going 12 rounds probably benefits Lara more than Canelo.

True. I was just thinking that generally non-title fights are 10 rounds. But I believe you can request the sanctioning body for a 12 round fight...more likely to happen in a premier matchup.
So yeah, this probably would be a 12 rounder.
